Archtypes

    Just as a player chooses his/her nature and demeanor there are several archtypes that Shih can fall into. You don't have to play one of them, but this may give you some idea should you get stuck.

The Student:
       The student fits many freshly released Shih as they make their way in the world or one who is still under his sifu. The student is a naive or driven pupil who often shows remarkable promise, yet causes problems in his desire to excel or prove himself.He is usually under the command of his sifu or a new teacher as the game begins. A good way for a new player to get goting. Recommended: backgroud/ mentor 4+, merit/ Luckyl, Flaws/Overconfident or vengeful

Wanderer:
   This is the classic Shih. The stranger, usually a vagrant, who enters the city keeping to himself. He may be wise or beligerant. Clean and polite or dirty and rude. In any case he proves to be more than meets the eye as he sets the evil on ear, teaching a life lesson along the way.Often the shih is weary and worn from his hard life and the toll it takes. In the end he leaves all behind him changed in one way or another and the Yomi ash. Good way to play the classic shih hero. Recomended: normal shih stats Flaw/Addictions, cumpulsion,   Merits/ Iron Will, Code of Honor

Warrior-Monk
      The warrior-monk is as much priest as warrior. She offers council and guidance to those affected by the world of the Shen. She seeks to ease suffering and protect the innocent. Npcs usually can seek her out by word of mouth and unlike the wanderer she is easily found by those who actually believe the legends of priests beating off demons. She may be of a special order or simply a priest with a dedeication to humanity exceeding all other priorities. Whatever the case she will help.

Inherited Mantle
       Some people are just lucky. Their parents or family wake them up at all hours of the mornig to practice Kung Fu. They are constantly reminded of the legendary things that their great ancestors did. Each day while the other kids play they learn exactly where to hit a Werewolf just right to fold him up. This is the life of those who come from the few remaining family houses of Shih. These people may take their great heritage with deadly seriousness, deep resentment or utter rebellion. In any case their ultimate destiny (as well as family enemies) always seem to find them. Shih built this way should have elaborate histories giving some detail into their family. Recommended: background/ Fame 2, Mentor 4 Merits/ Destiny, Self-Confident, Flaws/ Enemy, Overconfident

Shattered Survivor
        Her fiancee was killed right in front of her eyes, his blood covering her as he died. The creature killing him would have taken her too if that old man hadn't saved her life. He took her and taught her how to channel that rage against the Shen who destryed her life. Now she hunts them, her mercy is rare, but its all that is left of who she once was. She is often reckless, as if inviting death or maybe being ashamed to be alive and alone. Charcaters of this nature make for excellent emotional rp, though they come off as wantonly harsh, they have much to reconcile inside themselves. Recommended: High attack Qiao like Shi and Mo Kung, Merits/ Guardian Angel, Concentration, Flaws/ Hatred, Nightmares,addiction
