| Kid Friendly Camping | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| For those on us with kids, camp outs can be hard, Which is why I made this site. I have travelled to all kinds of parks and let me tell you, some I would never go to again. | Barry's Camp is just north of Lumberton in the southern Piney Woods of east Texas. Great place to get away. It is out in the middle of nowhere So, the kids can make lots on noise. There is Also a huge Sand Bar for playing and sunning on the creek. It is rather rugged and rustic but, it gets the job done. See pics from our trip here. |

| Haun Ranch is located in Meyersville. It is a "retired" Dairy Farm NW of Victoria. The ranch is mostly used for hunting and bird watching. There is Fishing, hiking and hunting and great relaxing at a great price. There are 2 cabins. One has a pool table, 5 beds, couches, kitchen the works. The other is a smaller one for 2. | Caddo Lake State Park, a sprawling maze of bayous and sloughs covering 27,000 acres of cypress swamps. It is located in northeast Texas, just NE on Marshall, Tx. Be sure to bring Canoes and paddle boats to go all through the swamp. Very NICE however, reserve cabin months in advance. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Matagorda Island State Park. The rangers here are VERY helpful. They drove us all over the island and they go the extra mile to ensure the kids are having fun and learning about the history of the island..more pics? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
