The reality of Taiwan is vastly different from the image that
Taiwanese nationals present to the Western public. They deliberately
omit curious facts like the Taiwanese education system teaching
children that Tibet is "rightfully" part of "One China".
The real Taiwan is a threat to Western security and Western culture.
The Taiwanese have bought key officials in the American government.
Charlie Trie,
Johnny Chung,
and John Huang
were the key figures involved in trying to buy the influence of American
government officials associated with the Demoratic Party. Of the 3 culprits,
both Johnny Chung and John Huang grew up in Taiwan.
The Taiwanese government annually spends about $2 million to hire
American lobbyists like Cassidy and
Associates to persuade the American government to enact legislation
promoting the interests of Taiwan. Often, that type of legislation
is detrimental to American interests.
The Taiwanese steal or inappropriately acquire military technology and
national security secrets from the United States of America (USA) and
give that information to Beijing.
Senior Chinese military officials retired from the Taiwanese military
have gone to mainland China and given military secrets about the
American F-16 fighter jet to the Beijing government. (reference:
"
Military Secrets on Sale to China")
The Wall Street Journal reports that the majority of spies who steal
sensitive computer and military technology (like microprocessor
blueprints) to give to mainland China were actually born and raised in
Taiwan, not mainland China. For example, the following persons severely damaged American security and were born and raised in Taiwan.
Taiwan is a very serious security risk to the USA.
Since 2000 May, the FBI has placed Taiwan on a secret list of states that
are prone to steal sensitive military and commercial technology from
American national laboratories and companies. Please read
"Reno
calls Taiwan an intelligence threat".
According to pubic notice 4946 on page 133 of the "Federal Register" (volume 70, Number 1, 2005 January 3), Washington has levied economic penalties against 7 mainland Chinese companies, 1 North Korean company, and 1 Taiwanese company. The Taiwanese company is Ecoma Enterprise Company and gave technology and services to the Iranians to improve their nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles, which may someday be used against Americans in a future conflict.
The Taiwanese have invested more than $100 billion into more than 50,000
businesses in mainland China.
According to "Taiwan
Enticed by 'Huge Market' in China" by the Washington Post, the
Taiwanese have invested more than $40 billion into more than 40,000
businesses in mainland China in 2000. Currently, the figures
are $100 billion and 50,000 businesses, respectively
(reference: "Wall Street Journal", 2003). From the
Chinese government, the
Taiwanese businesses request and receive preferential treatment
that American businesses do not enjoy.
According to "Taiwan's
trade with China up 33.5 percent in Jan-April" by
Agence France-Presse, the Taiwanese continue to accelerate
investments into China. In 2002, China surpassed the USA in
becoming the largest trading partner of Taiwan; its annual
trade with China exceeds $75 billion. According to "Keeping
Party Line, Bottom Line Separate", "more than 60% of China's
information technology exports are produced in factories with
Taiwanese investment". In fact, according
to "Taiwanese gold rush
to China" by "Asia Times Online", hordes of Taiwanese are now
emigrating to China. About 1 million Taiwanese have already
moved to mainland China to live and work, according to
"Taiwan
Watches Its Economy Slip to China" by "The New York Times".
"The Economist" explains
how Taiwan achieved its current economic status in China. Shortly
after the incident at Tienanmen Square in 1989 June,
the American government and American businesses froze or curtailed
investments in China in order to protest gross human-rights violations
committed by the Chinese government. The Chinese in Taiwan and
in Hong Kong seized this window of opportunity. The Taiwanese
provided any money or technology that the Americans refused to
give to Beijing. Since 1987, Taiwanese investment has been
skyrocketing at double-digit rates to their present enormous levels.
In 2004, more than 50% of businesses headquartered in Taiwan have
a subsidiary or a branch in mainland China.
The Taiwanese son of the chairman of Formosa Group, a powerful conglomerate,
in Taiwan has joined with the son of Jiang Zemin, the butcher of Tibet,
to build an advanced silicon-wafer factory in Shanghai, according to
"Sons
of prominent Chinese team up on chip venture".
According to an
article by Reuters and another
article by Agence France-Presse, intelligence officers in the
Taiwanese military enjoy selling top-secret information to
Beijing. One such intelligence officer is Chuang Po-hsin.
The Taiwanese support nearly all the geopolitical objectives of the
the Chinese government in Beijing.
The American government gave the Senkaku Islands to Japan.
The Beijing government insists that the Senkaku Islands
are Chinese terrority. The Taiwanese have vigorously
told the Japanese to back off from Chinese territory,
according to "A
Leap of Faith" and
"Japanese
nationalists visit disputed Tiaoyutai island". According
to "Taiwan ship
joins island dispute" by BBC News, the Taiwanese government
insists that the Senkaku Islands is part of "One China" and
sent a naval frigate (armed with missiles) to the Senkaku Islands
in order to thwart Japanese control of the islands.
The Taiwanese government has warned the Philippine government
to back off from the Spratly Islands. The Taiwanese government
insists that they are Chinese territory.
According to "49 Percent
Opposed to Republic of Taiwan", Seventy-seven percent (77%) of the Taiwanese
support the current Constitution of Taiwan.
The Constitution
of Taiwan states clearly that Tibet and Taiwan are both
part of China. The Taiwanese insist that Tibet is part of China
while the Chinese People's Liberation Army tortures, rapes, and
kills Tibetan nuns. (reference: Amnesty
International and Tibet Online)
Eighty-five percent (85%) of the people of Taiwan are Chinese.
Only fifteen percent (15%) are Taiwanese.
The Taiwanese system of education liberally favors Chinese nationalism even at the expense of historical facts.
Taiwanese schools teach children that Tibet is an integral part of China.
The Taiwanese believe that the actions committed by the Nazis during World War II are an acceptable part of war. Please read "Offending restaurant decor given the axe". Thousands of Taiwanese regularly enjoyed dinner at a popular restaurant that showed pictures of Jews suffering in Nazi concentration camps. The entrance to the door of the restroom at the restaurant displayed the sign, "Gas Chamber". The Taiwanese consider displaying such symbols of dire suffering to be acceptable. On the other hand, the Israeli government and the German government considered the symbols to be extremely offensive and demanded that the restaurant owner remove them.
A Taiwanese company constructed several large billboards showing a cartoon of Adolf Hitler in order to advertise a German-made space heater. The company placed the billboards in the subways. Millions of Taiwanese saw these billboards and considered them to be acceptable. On the other hand,
both the Israeli government and the German government were outraged and
demanded that the company remove the billboards. Please read "'Hitler' heater ads draw fire from all quarters".
