Hello! I am DeskJet Shredder... Okay, you know it already. I suppose you've entered this section of my site to find out who I really am. You are welcome!
Real Name: Anastasia (Stasia, for short).
Frankly speaking, I don't
like my full name 'cause it sounds like "Anesthesia". The real short
name should be "Asia" (it is not the continent; it is pronounced like "Asya"),
but I also dislike it.
Alias: DeskJet Shredder, Kitty Cracker
Gender: Female
Age: it changes every year, you know :8-)
Date of Birth: 0*/0*/198*; the animal (according to the Chinese Calendar) starts with "R" and ends with "t"
Zodiac Sign: starts with "A" and ends with "s"
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Black
My Photo: here
- Why DeskJet Shredder?
- No idea! I just thought that a hybrid of a DeskJet
(inkjet) printer and a paper shredder would sound funny. :8-) BTW, the picture
on the main page is a "LaserJet Shredder", 'cause I did not have the
proper photo when creating it. And here's the proper device:

Well, it looks more like a lavatory pan, but it is the appliance I'm talking
of... :8-P
- Why Black Rectangle?
- Not just a black rectangle,
but the Black Rectangle 4:3! :8-D 4:3 is a standard width-to-height ratio for
modern screens (I mean 800x600, 1024x768 etc.). The idea came into my head when
I was watching a movie on my computer and wished to take a screenshot. The
program did not maintain the function: instead of the desired image I got a
blank rectangle 800x600 ('cause I was watching the movie in full-screen mode).
Its color was totally black (C=0%, M=0%, Y=0%, K=100%, #000000, according to the
Photoshop Color Picker). Since then this particular figure of this color
has been symbolizing emptiness, as well as blue screen
(R=0, G=0, B=255, #0000FF) symbolizes system crash.
- Why all these complicated smileys?
- They are rather simple in reality. Just imagine that there's no '8' which stands for glasses. You can see the Smiley Dictionary here.
- What the heck did you create this site? It's totally useless!
- Well, Black Rectangle symbolizes emptiness! What were you expecting to find here? :8-P
