- Soft cotton fabrics, chiffon, and silk.
- Tops with 3/4-sleeves create a slimmer silhouette, especially in black or
pinstripes.
- Monochromatic outfits. They don't break the line between your torso and
legs.
- High heels for a sexier aura.
- Tops that fall before of after the waist which is the thickest part of
your body.
Stop!
- Clothes in lycra or spandex or anything too thick like wool.
- Empire-cut styles.
- Chunky, oversized accessories.
Petite
Closet Faves:
- Short skirts elongate the legs.

- Ankle-length flowing dresses and long denim skirts.
- Skirts that fall on the knee.
Stop!
- Pants that are "bitin" or too baggy.
Athletic Build
Closet Faves:
- Tight, body fit clothes! You worked hard for that body, so flaunt it!
- Low waist jeans or slacks to show off the butt.
Stop!
- Anything too baggy or oversized.
Curly Locks
How To Wear It:
- Let hair air dry or use a diffuser to lessen frizz.
- Don't comb after shampooing. It will flatten the curls and make them look
"alanganin."
- Apply mousse before drying for a softer effect.
- Put curl booster (comes in gel form) to give shine and tame the unruly
parts.
- Shampoo every other day to keep the natural oil and avoid dryness.
Long Torso
Closet Faves:
- Tunics or tops that fall just under the butt to emphasize the waist.
- Horizontal prints that balance off a long torso.
- Halter or shoulder-bearing tops.
- High waist jeans.
Stop!
- Hanging shirts that will exaggerate your torso.
- Low riders
Full Chest
Closet Faves:
- Halter and overlapping tops that your breasts can "fill".
- Tube tops that will further enhance your assets as well as make your waist
appear smaller.
- Polo shirts that are as size bigger so the buttons don't look like they
might pop.
Stop!
- Sheer tops that can make you look unladylike.
- Super plunging necklines.
- Overly tight tees.
Curvy
- Tops that don't cling to the body.
- If you're pear shaped, don't wear too tight fitting tops, it will only
draw attention to your hips. Opt for low waist pants and tops in your usual
size. Nothing too small or too big.
- If you're apple shaped, wear a more conservative top and play around with
your lower body, like wearing a sexy mini to show off those legs.
What To Avoid:
- Poorly tailored tops. If the top you're wearing id not proportioned, the
chances of it being obvious will be bigger.
- Tops that are too tight and in lycra or spandex material.
