Announcement: as more and more articles about 'gravitational magnetism'  are appearing in the web, I have to clarify here first that the Gravitational Magnetism mentioned below is not about rotating an aluminium bar and not deriving from general relativity. The 'gravitational magnetism' mentioned below is an new physical field that behaves like the magnetism we generally known by an rotating electrical charge. The so called is generated by any rotating or moving mass.

Situations is worse that the words 'gravitational magnetism' becomes an official name for theories in other points of view. Looks like I have to find another name for the theories mentioned below.

GRAVITATIONAL MAGNETISM

By C.H. Chiu , Benji

Abstract :

As magnetism can be explained solely on the basis of Coulomb¡¦s Law and special relativity, there exists an effect, which is similar to electrical magnetism, that can be explained solely on Newton¡¦s Law of gravitation and special relativity.

The force on stationary and moving masses.

Since Coulomb¡¦s law is valid for a test charge of any velocity, provided the source charge is stationary in the corresponding frame of reference S, special relativity gives:

¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K.¡K¡K..(1)

 where    ¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..(2)

is stationary in S and v is the relative velocity of the source charge in S.

Similarly, Newton¡¦s law of gravitation is also valid for a test mass of any velocity if the source mass is stationary in S. By a simple switch of the variables in equation(1), special relativity gives:

  ¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..(3)

The fields are:

¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..(4)

¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..(5)

According to special relativity and Coulomb¡¦s law, there exists an electrical magnetic field:

¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..(6)

Going through the same calculations*, a combination of special relativity and Newton¡¦s law of gravitation shows there exists a gravitational magnetic field:

¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..¡K¡K¡K..(7)

The Lorenz force law for charges is :

¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..(8)

The Lorenz force law for masses is :

¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..¡K¡K..¡K¡K¡K..(9)

The total Lorenz force law should be :

¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..(10)

All theorems in the electromagnetic theory generate the gravitational-magnetic theory simply by adding the subscript g, mass instead of charge and substituting ¡V1/4£kG with £` . It implies there exists gravitational magnetic waves traveling at the speed of c. For those of you whom understand the theory mentioned above and familiar with the dual property of light, you must be shouting : " GRAVITON" !!!  As electromagnetic waves correspond to photons, it is very natural to suspect the existence of a graviton corresponding to gravitational magnetic waves. And for those familiar with general relativity: as a strong gravitational field can affect an electromagnetic wave, it is also very natural to suspect a strong electric or magnetic field will affect a travelling gravitational magnetic wave. Probably the first time to link up electric field with gravity with a simpler method.
