Introduction to Freemasonry
Freemasonry itself is a fraternity. Its the largest and oldest fraternity in the world. No one knows exactly how old it is because the actual origins has been lost in time. Masonry teaches that each person has a responsibility to make things better in the world. Masonry reminds its members about the qualities of charity, compassion, love and trust among hte world. Masonry is a support group lending a helping hand and striving to make good men better men.
Masonry consist of 3 degrees.A degree is a level of membership they being the first degree and known as the Entered Apprentice degree, second degree as the Fellowcraft degree, and the third degree as the Master Mason degree. The masonic degrees teaches the great lessons of life, the importance of integrity, on being a person on whom others can rely on.
Although it may seem that Freemasonry is a secret organization, it really isn't. The only secrets about masonry is the way that we identify ourselves. Surely if we were to give up the secrets to our fraternity, freemasonry would surely be lost. As we have today, there are many whom try to pretend to be masons.
To petition for membership, one must be of sound  body and mind, believe in God, must be at least the required minimum age required by Masonry in your state, and have a good reputition, believe in helping others, believe in things other than pleasure and money.
Joining masonry is making a permanent life commitment in certain ways: to place ultimate trust in God, to trust each other, and to be willing to share and care for one another.
Ask and ye shall receive,
Seek and ye shall find,
Knock and the door shall open
