DeShea Family Line by MourghinDeShea
On a cold darkened night, a mystic dressed in black showing nothing but his hands appeared upon the barons door step having heard of the barons request. The servants in which held about the mansion allowed the mystic entrance into the barons home. Taking him to see the baron Albreth and the baroness Olivia. For hours the baron spoke with the strange man, the man gave no words of how he'd give them the ability to bring forth offspring, which vexed Albreth.
Finally outraged Albreth attempted to force the man to leave, but with no such luck for the man became angered with Albreth's actions against him. Albreth was struck down to the ground as the mystic's form changed. Turning from an ordinary man into a massive hideous beast, the mystic began to roar with might. At that point Olivia approached the mystic, fear with held from her eyes as she spoke in a gentle tone asking him to please seek mercy on her husband. The mystic gazed upon Olivia with anger, and with a tone so evil he spoke. "His line ends this night, yours will live for life times to come." And before Olivia could concede the words, her husband was murdered before her eyes. Now fear struck through Olivia, as the mystic turned his gaze to her.
The baroness Olivia dropped to her knees in tears of fear and sorrow as the mystic closed the gap between them. His form changed slowly back to the ordinary man in which he came as. Resting his hand upon Olivia's head. He spoke clearly to her, "You will be a widow, but you will be a mother. You will bare the next line of DeShea's, and they will know your deceased as their father for I will not allow them to know me as he." Olivia released a whimper of uncertainty as the mystic drew her to him. That night, the mystic changed Olivia's life forever.
As the night drew deeper, and dawn approached Olivia stood upon the balcony of the room she was forced to share. Her frail hands held upon the railing as her gaze swept over the land which she was now to rule alone. Faint sounds emitted from the doors towards the room behind her, shifting her ever so weary gaze towards the doors an exhale of pain passed her lips. The mystic stood in the doorway to the balcony, his robes flowing in the breeze that picked up without notice. His hand moved from within his pocket to extend to Olivia, as he spoke for her to come towards him. "Come my pet, we have much to do now."
The baroness Olivia turned her gaze towards the land gazing over the forests that surround her manor. All the lush white glowing trees swayed in the heavy breeze, without word Olivia's hand drifted back to rest in the Mystic's hand. With a firm grip the Mystic pulled her towards him, but not into his arms for he turned and began to walk pulling the baroness Olivia along with his strides.
"It is time I teach you to hunt, you need to learn these things so you can teach them to the offspring to be born." The mystic said with a hungered tone. Sweeping down the halls, through the corridors, gliding down the steps he brings Olivia to the doors of her home. "There are creatures of the night fleeing to the safety of their hideouts, you must find three and bring them to their ends. You can sniff them out now, without any problems." The door opened suddenly and out Olivia was thrown, the mystic stood just passed the doors. "I shall await here for your return, should you need help just howl." Olivia said nothing as she turned her back to the Mystic and tore off into the woods.
While Olivia was out hunting the Mystic wondered through the manor, he found his way back to where he murdered the Baron Albreth. The dark face of the mystic suddenly came into light as his hood was removed upon noticing the body of the baron was missing. Slowly shifting his gaze from side to side without moving his head, his nose twitched as he began to smell around the room. "I know youre here, you reek of death. Blaming your poor wife for your inabilities, its a wonder she didn't find out earlier." The mystic said in a heavy tone of anger.
A dark chuckle emitted from behind the mystic, "She was to blind to see anything, she never realized why our staff kept disappearing. She always believed when I said I gave them their freedom and money to live off the land itself. She never left this house without me so I dared not worry of her finding out." Albreth slowly moved from the darkened shadows which held his form from sight. "Why didn't you just kill me when you had the chance?"
A slow grin crossed the lips of the mystic as he turned to face Albreth, "I wanted you to lose your wife before you lost your life." Recanted the mystic as his eyes flashed with a dark yellow hue. "Besides, I doubt now you will be able to hide things from her ever again." The mystics grin twisted into such a menacing smirk as his head lowered.
"What is that suppose to mean?" Said Albreth as he gazed with pure hatred upon the Mystic. As the baron went to move towards the mystic a low menacing growl was heard behind Albreth. As Albreth began to turn, a form huge by size and muscular in tone, covered in black fur dripping with blood was barely seen. A hand twice the size of Albreth's head came swooping down ripping the face off of the baron. As the baron's body began to fall a large wooden stake was driven through his chest from behind. Albreth's body began to shake violently before bursting into flames and finally turning into dust.
The mystic's dark yellow eyes fell upon the beast that slaughtered the baron, and all that was heard was the faint whisper of, "Well done my dear." The beast stared viciously at the mystic a low deep growl was heard as it began to approach him. He rose his head up high, raising his hand lightly he stroked the snout of the beast. "Its over now" he said in a quietly dark voice. The beast grunted a few times followed by a series of screams, standing halfway in the room where the beast once stood was a shadowed figure. A slow grin crept over his lips as he spoke, "Good girl" The figure moved into the light, it was a woman with long white hair and bright yellow eyes. Her voice was soft in tone as she spoke, "Do you think she'll survive through her first night, dear?" She continued to move towards the Mystic, stretching out her hands before her as she got within arms range of him. She unclasped his cloak and stole it from around him, wrapping her nude form up with it to cover her. "I do not know yet, I am still awaiting her return." The mystic said as he glanced towards the windows facing the white forest. "She is not like the others we've tried. She's pure of heart and pure of soul, so it may work, but there is always the chance it won't and we may have to look again for another."
A dark sigh was released as he glanced back to the woman. The woman shook her head as she began to move away from the mystic, "I saw her out there. I watched her for a while before I came here." She stopped moving as she got to the window, resting her hand upon the glass she began to speak but was silenced by the sound of a scream from inside the manor. Her bright yellow eyes shifted from the window to the doorway to the room. "She's here" The mystic followed the womans gaze to the doorway, his arms crossed over his chest. For the next few moments that passed to the two in the room it seemed like an eternity as they awaited Olivia's return. A body came flying into the room, followed by a large white beast. The beast roared out in sheer rage before it collapsed upon the ground. His body flinched, it almost seemed like he was going to go to the beast but he stopped himself. He stood there watching the beast on the ground breathing.
The woman by the window began to move, "Careful now, I almost believed you cared," she said to the mystic with a light hint of teasing in her tone. Her form moved to the beast and slowly she knelt down, her voice was calm and soothing to the beast as she whispered into the large ears of the beast, "it is over now, you can relax" Her hand moved to lightly stroke the white hair of the beast's head. A dark chuckle was released from him at the woman's comment, he recanted, "Does it matter?" He started in after the woman, moving towards the beast. His hands rested on the woman's shoulder as he stared at the beast, "How is she?" He for a moment seemed concerned, but that drifted away as the beast began to move.
Several growls were heard as the beasts body twitched, slowly the beast pushed itself off the ground onto its knees. Staring tiredly upon the two near it, but suddenly the beast released a loud screaming roar as its body seemed to burst out at the seams. Fur and blood gets shot across the room, the mystic and woman cover their faces for a moment then a thud is heard, both of them uncovered their eyes only to finally gaze upon Olivia's body. Both of them seemed to be holding their breath waiting for some sign of life. His hands clutched tightly upon the womans shoulders, as the womans hands reached up to hold onto his hands in return.
The seconds that passed seemed to be forever for the two watching Olivia, when finally a breath and slight whimper was released from her. Both of them exhaled deeply, "Run upstairs and put on a dress from her closet, and bring one down for her." He said with a bit of demand, as he pulled the woman to her feet and took her place on the ground next to Olivia. The woman watched him for a few second before she nodded and walked off. With the woman out of the room, he pulled Olivia to him and spoke, "Are you ok?" With slow movement Olivia's hand raised to her forehead, she groaned. "I'm not sure" she mustered out as her eyes opened to gaze at him. He ran his fingers across Olivia's cheek, he spoke in a soft tone to Olivia, "My sister will be back with something for you to wear." Olivia closed her eyes as she laid on the his lap, breathing slowly as she rested from all. After about twenty minutes the woman came through the door dressed in a indigo gown, holding a royal blue gown. She shifted her head to the side as she saw him holding Olivia. She gave a light grin to him before she moved over towards them and spoke, "Heres a dress for her." Tired eyes opened to gaze at the woman, "I'm tired" was all that Olivia could muster out before she finally just passed out.
The mystic stared at the woman, "Lets take her upstairs, there we can check her to see if its taken." Before she could respond, he picked up Olivia and started out the door and she followed. They moved up the stairs to Olivia's room, once they got into her room he laid her on her bed and sat down beside her. He took Olivia's hand into his as he gazed back to the woman. She gave a nod and moved to the other side of the bed. Running her hands over Olivia's form, she began healing the wounds that Olivia had. Her eyes of bright yellow dimmed to white as she drew in a breath, "Fabe" she said. Not taking his eyes off of Olivia, he seemed to hold his breath. She spoke again, "Fabe its done but" before she finished her sentence her eyes opened to look at him. "You know don't you?" a light shake of her head, "Fabe they're fine" was all she finally said as she sat down on the bed.
He finally took his eyes off of Olivia and looked to the woman. "Liza, she's perfect." He uttered out before he looked back to Olivia. A soft laugh was heard from Liza, "Fabe, I know. And I am not mad." Liza moved her hand to touch Fabe's arm, Fabe slowly looked back to Liza, "I was only planning on turning her into one of us, but when I saw her I had to have her," Fabe said in a quiet tone. Liza gave a faint nod as she spoke, "You can't stay you know that right? Does she know this?" Fabe sighed a little, "I know, as does she, Liza, can't we stay for long enough to see it be born?" Liza glanced to Olivia before she looked back to Fabe, "I will send a pigeon to our leaders and see if we can but until then we have to plan on leaving soon." Slowly Liza stood up and headed towards the door pausing a moment she glanced back to Fabe, "Fabe, either way whether we stay for the time or go. You can always come back to see her when we are back this way." Before he could answer she stepped out the door. Fabe stared at Olivia, his hand clutching hers. After a few hours Fabe fell asleep still holding onto Olivia's hand. The next morning they woke up at the same time only to look upon one an others face, she gave a smile as she spoke, "you stayed" Fabe nodded his head as he whispered, "Olivia I fear I may have to leave soon." Olivia took in a breath, "I remember," she whispered, "Will you ever come back to see us." He smiled lightly, "As long as I breath, I will return to you and" his sentence stopped as his hand released hers to move down and rest upon her stomach.
A knock could be heard on the door, "You two awake?" Liza's voice could be heard outside it. Both of them just smiled at each other before Fabe answered, "Yes sister we are" Liza came in with a pigeon in her hands, "I have news from our leaders Fabe" Fabe slowly sat up, "And what's the verdict?" Before Liza responded about the letter, "She knows right?" Fabe gave Liza a nod, "Yes she does." Then Liza's face seemed to loose all expression as she approached them, "Well they have ordered both of us to take up residence in this section of the land till the baby is born. After which we must travel, to see the leaders and they will decide what we are to do from there." Fabe looked back to Olivia, who just smiled at him and gave a nod of agreement.
As the months progressed Fabe married Olivia. Liza checked upon Olivia every few weeks throughout her pregnancy making sure things were going fine. A week before the time the baby was due, Olivia screamed out suddenly. Causing Fabe to wake from his sleep, and then Liza nearly broke down the door to get in. "Whats wrong?" in unison both said to Olivia. All Olivia could do was point to her stomach as she wretched in pain and screamed out again. Liza laughed lightly before she moved to Olivia, "I think its time Fabe please leave us" Fabe glared at Liza a moment before he got up and left the room. He paced outside of the room, stopping to rest his ear against the door with every scream his wife screamed out. He was very worried as it went silent, but then he heard the sound of a baby's cry. After a few moments Liza came out of the door with a baby boy in her arms. "Fabe you have a son" She said as she handed him over to Fabe.
But then another scream was released from Olivia, Liza's face went startled, then she ran back into the room, leaving the door wide open. Fabe moved and stood in the doorway watching as Liza helped Olivia, he was worried more now then ever. But all he could do was watch his wife suffer in pain. Liza became surprised as another baby was birthed. "Oh my gods! Looks like you have a daughter too." Liza said. Slowly she worked to clean off the baby, and rest it next to Olivia before returning to finish up the midwife job. After all was said and done, Fabe went in and over to Olivia and his daughter. His eyes gazed upon them, "Twins" Fabe looked over to Liza, "Liza, we can't go back." Olivia slowly sat up with their daughter and stared confusedly at them, as Liza spoke, "I know, but we have too. Otherwise we'll die." Finally Olivia piped in, "Why can't we go?

Mommy and Daddy by BlinkyDeShea
Where are my mommy and daddy? I have heard many stories since me and my Sis left the cave. I use to hear tall tales about them defending the land and giving up their own children only to find themselves heartbroken. Others told us that they were caputred and put on display somwhere in the middle east. But what is of my Mommy and Daddy? Where are they, what could be the outcome that left us alone. Nothing more than to fend for ourselves?
I remember the last time I saw my Sister before I was taken. Funny how I can remember these things? My father always said I was a special little pup. I laid next to my sis in the cold winter of the night as I awoke and herd my little sis chattering her teeth. I crawled over and covered her tightly with my own blankie. And gave her the Bear our Mommy gave me. I laid beside her holding her tightly as I wished nothing more than to see the proud faces of our Family back together.
But tales of Happy endings only happens to those who are fortunate. What more can I do than to protect the very thing that I loved the most? My eyes grew with tears of joy only to find my sister again. I vowed that nothing will ever break us apart. I am older now and Have my sister back into my life. And I will become the Wolf who will protect his Family once again. Mother...Father...I am home once more.
Dark Carnival by BlinkyDeShea
A tall figure approaches and places one boot onto my chest forcing me down. I cannot see his face for the light from the tent blinds me. But his deep drunken voice echoes through my mind. "What do *hic* have here?" the man replies. He then begins to drown me in a sea of booze as he pours the rest of his foul drink onto my head. I can taste the bitterness of the drink mixed in with my own blood from being tied.
He then walks away and heads into the tent. "What have I done to deserve this?" I ask myself. The rain stops and the night grows deep as the sound of the birds start to form. The come from a distance just over the left area of the tent. Then it stops as I wonder what is about to come next? The man comes back out of the tent and hands me a dish of chopped up crows. He tosses the tin dish down and spits in it. Then just mutters some foul language as he walks away.
The dish is filled with rotten feathers and the smell alone makes me want to vomit. The eyes are sticking out of the sockets. I kick the dish away not eating it. For I cannot be as cruel to the creature as the person who has served me the rotting corpse of the crow.
I lower my head feeling the cold chill of the night. My eyes grow heavy as tears stream down my face. What can I do to keep my spirits up? What can I do to find my way back home? Whay am I forced to be treated like a dog? I loose contious as my hunger grows strong. Maybe this is just a dream. But at what cost do I dream?
