Meeting Mitzi
By SandygirlOne day Oxnard, Boss, Bijou, Sandy and Cappy were taking a walk by the river. They were finding neat things for the clubhouse. "Hey look at this!" Sandy said. She had found a small raft just big enough to fit all of the ham-hams. "This could be helpful later ." Boss said, grabbing it. He started to blow it up. But then a terrible draft came up and knocked the hams into the river. Boss blew it up just in time. All of them landed in it. "Phew, that was close." Hamtaro said. The draft blew then down the river and into the ocean. Pretty soon it got dark so they all fell asleep. The next day, Hamtaro woke up to find they had been washed upon a shore. "Hey guys wake up look!" He said. The others woke up and were amazed by their miracle. Boss said, "Now that we've landed, let`s explore the island for food!" The others agreed. "Hif hif hif. Hif hif." Hamtaro sniffed for the least bit of food for breakfast. He finally sniffed some berries. He was about to take a bite out of one when he heard a voice yell, "Don`t eat those berries! They're poison!" Hamtaro looked around to find a lovely hamster running towards him. "The`re poison berries! Don't eat them!" she yelled. "Poison? Yuck!" Hamtaro said. The rest of the gang come over. Boss asked, "Hamtaro are you okay?" Hamtaro said, "Yeah I'm fine, but who is she?" Boss said, "I don't know. I thought you did. She said, "I`m Mitzi and I know this island better then anyone here." She was white with a black stomach. Mitzi had beautiful light blue eyes. "If you like I'll give you a tour. "Mitzi said. Hamtaro said, "We love you to!" "Great!" So she gave them the tour. Pretty soon all of them knew the island pretty well. "Last stop, my house. Your all welcome to come in." Mitzi said. So they all run in and talk. "I did have an owner once, a mean owner." Mitzi tells everyone. "He threw me around, hung me upside down, and never fed me. I was forced to feed myself. Then one day I could take it no longer. I packed up all my stuff and ran away. I was having a good time in the wild. One day, I took a raft down the river and it went right into the ocean. I woke up and found myself on this island. I didn't know how I got there so I just sat there and started to think. Finally I got hungry." She paused. "I smelled some berries and took a bite out of one. I felt sick a day later. I found out it was a poison berry that I just ate. But a friendly mouse helped me get better. When she got sick I helped her. We became best friends ever since." She pauses again. "And?" Boss said, eager to hear what was going to happen next. "And that's how I know about the poison berries. "Hamtaro asked, "But what happened to the mouse?"," Mitzi said sadly, "She got washed away in a storm. She was on a raft and got washed into the ocean. The last words she said to me were Don't worry. I`ll be back as soon as possible. Don`t forget me." Mitzi has tears in her eyes. "And I've been real lonely ever since." Hamtaro said, "I`m sure you miss her a whole bunch." Mitzi said, "Oh Hamtaro, your so sweet." Bijou said, "That story is the saddest story I've ever heard." "Me too." Sandy said. Cappy said, "Hey why don't

Oxnard and Boss were repairing the raft. Hamtaro,Bijou,Cappy and Sandy are talking with Mitzi."I like gymnastics the best." said Sandy."I like caps." Cappy said."Ribbons are my speicialty." Bijou said. Hamtaro said,"I like playing with other hams." Mitzi said,"I like all of them exept caps and gymnastics.I have a purple bow in my knapsack." She reached in to get it."Here it is!"she called.Mitzi put the bow on her head."Don`t I look pretty?" she asked. Hamtaro said,"You look great!" Boss yelled,"Guys it`s fixed now.C`mon let`s go!" So they sailed through the ocean and pretty soon they saw the river."Look there`s the river!" Cappy yelled.They sailed through it and finally landed.But then Mitzi asked,"Wait! Since I ran away I didn`t have an owner.Whose going to be mine now?" The others looked at each other cuz no one had thought of that. Boss finally anounced,"Hey Mitzi, why don`t you stay with me until we find you an owner?" Mitzi asked,"Would you really let me stay Boss?Really? Boss said,"Really really." Hamtaro said,"So it`s settled.Mitzi will stay with Boss until we find her an owner." Bijou said,"Speaking of owners,we better get back to ours." Hamtaro said,"Aw!I almost forgot about ours!" Boss said,"You guys better get back home.I`ll take Mitzi back for you." Hamtaro said,"Thanks Boss.Bye-Q! Sandy,Cappy and Bijou did the same.
Back Home at Hamtaro`s House~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Laura writes in her diary "I was worried that I lost Hamtaro after he dissapered for a day,but he came back.He seemed tired and sleepy.I wonder what hamsters do when us humans are gone.Maybe they go to an underground clubhouse! Anyway,I`m glad Hamtaro`s back." Laura said,"You know today was great and tommorow will be even better wouldn`t you say? Hamtaro does that kushi-kushi thing and then says, "Hekke!"
