One rainy day Hamtaro was making his way to the Ham-Ham clubhouse. On the way he met up with Oxnard. Hamtaro was talking about how much fun he and Laura had had yesterday playing with the marbles.
" But she wouldn't let me eat any! That's so--- Oxy?" He looks all around him but sees nothing. But then he heard something.
"Oh where is it? Where could it be?" Hamtaro recognizes the voice as Oxnard's. He went to where the voice came from. He sees Oxnard running around in panic.
"What's wrong, Oxy?" He asks.
"My sunflower seed is gone! Oh, please help Hamtaro!? Hamtaro sighs loudly.
"Oxnard, you know we have lots of sunflower seeds at the clubhouse?
"But I want MY sunflower seed!" wined Oxnard.
"Come on, Oxnard!" He grabs Oxnard by the hand and drags him about five steps and stops, panting tremendously.
"Oxy, please! Come on!"
"Oh, here it is! Coming, Hamtaro!"
"Whew. Thanks." They make the rest of the trip, Oxnard telling about the time he nearly choked on a marble. When they enter the ham-ham clubhouse a burst of loud, talkative, and giggly noise surrounded them.
"What's going on, Oxy?!?" He cried, covering his ears in sudden shock.
"I don't know!" He shouted to him, covering his ears, too. Hamtaro takes his paws off his ears and gets used to the noise for a moment. Then he walks over in the direction of his choice and goes to the first person he sees, which happens to be Sandy.
"Sandy, what's going on in here?" he asks.
"Hamtaro, don't you know?"
"Don't I know what?" he asks. Sandy giggles.
"Today's the day before Valentine's Day!"
"Valentine's Day, what's that?!?"
"You don't know?!?"
"No, I'm afraid I don't"
"Valentines day is the day of love when you get the ham you love a present, preferably chocolate!"
"Oh, yeah, now I remember, Valentine's Day!" He remembers a Valentine's Day when he got a red, plastic, heart-shaped container filled with sunflower seeds. Form Laura, of course. And now he knew who he was going to get a present for.

Later that Day~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 

Bijou walks up to Hamtaro.
"Hello, Hamtaro!" she says. "Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, did you know?" Bijou blushes slightly.
"Yeah, I've heard." He blushes a little, too.
"Are you going to get anyone anything?" she says, blushing a little more.
"Yep. But I can't tell who it is, okay?" He blushes a little more.
"Alright Hamtaro."? She walks off to talk with Pashmina, Sandy, and Penelope. Hamtaro goes to see Oxnard.
"Hey, Oxy! Did you hear the big news? Tomorrow's Valentine's Day!"
"Yeah, I heard. I wish Pepper was here. Oh well. I'll send her a gift in the mail."? He says gloomily.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Oxy. I wish she could be here tomorrow for you."
"That's allright. But if you all don't mind, I think I'll go home."
"Okay Oxy, if you really want to."
"Bye, Hamtaro."
"Bye, Oxnard. See you tomorrow."? Oxnard walks out of the clubhouse and out onto the cold wet grass. It hasn't stopped raining yet. Hamtaro walks over to a group of ham-hams that consist of Boss, Maxwell, Howdy, Dexter, Panda, Stan, and Cappy.
"Hey guys. Whatcha doin?"
Hi Hamtaro. We're just discussing what gift we were going to give to a girl, and what girl we were going to give it to." Said Maxwell.
"I thought we were talking about what present we were gonna give to a female ham-ham and which we were gonna give it to! Said Howdy. Dexter sighs.
"It's the same thing." He says.
"Well if Maxwell wouldn't use such complicated words like discussing and gift maybe I'd know that!"? he snapped back.
"What are you going to give, Hamtaro?"
"And who are going to give it to?" Both Stan and Boss said at the same time.
"Look, I'm not telling anyone who I'm going to give a gift to. All I can say is that, even though I don't know exactly what I'm giving yet, I think it's going to be ribbons."
"RIBBONS!" both Maxwell and Boss shout at the same time.
"That either means you're getting a gift for Sandy?" Maxwell said,
"Or Bijou!?" Boss finishes.
"Don't worry Maxwell; I'm not getting anything for Sandy! She's all yours!" Hamtaro cries.
"Then that means your getting something for Bijou!"? Boss shouts angrily.
"Uhhhh." he laughs nervously then blushes and says, "Well, It's getting late, I should get home." Then he runs out the door and outside. It has stopped raining and there was a beautiful rainbow outside.
"If this isn't a sign, I don't know what is." He says happily.

Meanwhile at the Clubhouse~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Uhhhh," he laughs nervously then blushes and says, "Well, It's getting late, I should get home."
  Then Hamtaro runs out the door. Boss starts to go after him but stops. He turns around and angrily stomps over to a chair and sits down.
"And all this time, I thought Hamtaro was my friend. I would have expected it from Stan, But Hamtaro? Well I'll show them. I'll get the best gift ever! Better than some stupid ribbons. Then she'll choose me!" He angrily thinks to himself. Then he pictures Bijou hugging him and saying,
"Oh Boss! You worked so hard to get me this gift! Much better than Hamtaro's ribbons and Stan's gift."
Then he pictures Hamtaro and Stan crying in the corner of the clubhouse very loudly.
"Yeah." He thought. But then his thought turned back to revenge and anger. And for the rest of the night, no one, not even Bijou, could get his attention long enough to stop him from thinking about it.

That night at Laura's house after everyone's Asleep~~~~~

Hamtaro lifts the door to his cage open and jumps out. He climbs up Laura's dresser to the little box where Laura put her hair bands, barrettes, bandanas, scrunchies, and ribbons.
"I'm sure Laura won't mind too much if I take one of her sets of ribbons." After a lot of struggling and pulling and moaning, Hamtaro opened the box.
He looked all around, but he couldn't find any blue ones. Instead he took some soft yellow ones and took him to his cage, got in the door, and found he couldn't go anywhere after three steps in any direction. He looked back.
"Silly me, I left part f the ribbons outside the door, and it got stuck!" He opened the door to his cage, pulled the ribbon inside, and went to the corner of his cage where the heart box from last Valentine's Day was buried. Then he uncovered it, put the ribbons in, closed the box, and put a thin layer of wood chips back on it.
"Now all I can do is sleep on it." He said. He did exactly that. He got on the hidden box and slept on it.

The Next Morning~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Good morning Hamtaro!" Laura said. "Are you ready for another great day?"
"Yeah Laura! I'm giving my present for Valentines day today!"
"Today's Valentine's day and I've made a card for Travis! I hope he likes it." She said nervously.
"Don't worry, Laura, I'm sure he will!"

20 Minutes Later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"All right Hamtaro, I'm all showered, fed, dressed, and my book bag is packed. Now all I have to do is get my hair done and get to school! I was thinking of wearing my yellow ribbons today. How does that sound? Hey, wait a minute, Mom!! My yellow ribbons are gone!" Laura yelled.
"Just get some others, Laura!" Laura's mother urged. "You're going to be late if you don't hurry!"
"Sorry Laura, but I'm taking these ribbons, I need them." Hamtaro thinks to himself.
"Oh well. I'll just wear my yellow barrettes as usual. She sighs.

After Laura is Gone~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hamtaro uncovers the box of ribbons and takes the shortcut out of the house and carries the heavy package to the clubhouse. When he got into the clubhouse he set his present down so that it was leaning on the wall. The only people that are hear yet are Boss, Sandy, Stan, Snoozer, and Cappy. Hamtaro walks over to Boss.
"Hi, Boss!" Boss doesn't say anything.
"Boss? Hello!! Earth to Ham-Ham!" Boss continues ignoring him.
"Well someone must have woken up on the wrong side of the wood chips this morning! I didn't do anything to him!" "What do you mean you didn't do anything to me?!?" Boss suddenly turned around and said.
"Well I didn't, did I?" Hamtaro asked innocently.
"Of course you did! Getting a present for my precious Bijou! I thought you were my friend Hamtaro!"
"Oh! Is that what this is all about?"
"IS THAT ALL?!?!?" Boss yelled. Suddenly Bijou walks in.
"What is wrong? I heard Boss yelling all the way down the hall; it was you Boss, Yes?"
"Yeah." "I heard you and ran as fast as I could. Is everyone alright?"
"Yeah Bijou, I think we're all pretty much fine."
"Oh, hello, Hamtaro. I did not see you there." She blushes a little.
"Hi, Bijou." He blushes slightly as well, but not as much as Bijou did. Bijou walks over to Hamtaro and hugs him.
"Happy Valentine's Day, Hamtaro." She blushes tremendously and suddenly turns away to go greet Sandy. Hamtaro turns back to Boss then quickly turns away. Boss is completely red in the face from anger and jealousy. Hamtaro goes to say hi to Stan and Cappy, but neither will talk to him, except Cappy said,
"How could you do that to Boss, Hamtaro? That was really mean!"
" But Bijou hugged me! Not that, I minded that at all.." he begins to blush, "but it still wasn't my fault!" Sandy, who was nearby next to Stan, came over to comfort him.
"It's okay Hamtaro, and besides, it's not your fault that you like Bijou and she likes you and not Boss."
"She likes me?"
"Like, of course Hamtaro, didn't you know?"
"No, I didn't, I mean, I hoped." Suddenly Maxwell walked in, carrying a gift in his hands. He puts it down next to Hamtaro's.
"Oh, there's Maxwell! See you later Hamtaro!"
"So Bijou likes me. I'm such a lucky Ham-Ham!" he thinks to himself. Then in the door comes Oxnard and Pepper. Hamtaro runs over to them.
"Hi, Oxy! Pepper, how did you get here?"
"Hi, Hamtaro! Pepper just got here. She refuses to tell anyone how, though."
"Okay. Well, happy Valentine's Day!"
"Happy Valentine's Day, Hamtaro!" Pepper says.

Later That Day after Everyone is Here~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Okay, everyone! It's time to exchange gifts!" Pashmina said.
"I thought we had to get presents!" Howdy yelled. The rest of the group sighs loudly.
"What?" Howdy looks around very confused.
Well every one got a gift. Since Maxwell was the only one who could right, he recorded who gave and got what gifts.
Here's what it said.

What everyone gave to everyone else

Bijou- a giant box of chocolates, from Boss; a pair of maracas, from Stan; and a pair of yellow ribbons, from Hamtaro

Boss- a red cap from Cappy

Cappy- an orange cap from Penelope

Penelope- A pair of maracas, Stan; a pink scarf, Pashmina

Pashmina- A pair of maracas, Stan; A pair of glasses, Dexter; an apron, Howdy

Sandy- A book, me.. I mean, Maxwell

Pepper- A bag of sunflower seeds, Oxnard

Oxnard- Sunflower seeds, Pepper

Stan- New Maracas, Sandy

Howdy- An apron, Pashmina

Dexter- A card, Pashmina

Panda- A bunch of boards, everybody

Snoozer- a new sock, Pashmina

Me... I mean, Maxwell- A new book, Sandy

Hamtaro- Chocolate-covered sunflower seed

And that was all that. Oh, one more thing, this is what happened as they were leaving

"Thank you so much for the ribbons, Hamtaro, I love them!"
"You're welcome, Bijou! I love my chocolate sunflower seeds!" Then Bijou looked up and kissed him on the cheek. He did the same to her. He also walked her home, holding her hand the whole way.
