"Twirling. Sure. Whatever. Just, like, leave me alone,
okay?"
In relation with, but not a sequel to, Boss's Girl Ham
and Bijou's Love
By Hamtaro
Cutie
Sandy is in her carrier tying her bow on her tail,
thinking about
Maxwell.
"Maxwell is, like, so totally cool! He's the best boyfriend a girl-ham
could
ever have!" she blushes. She and Maxwell were the first official ham-ham
couple of the ham-ham gang. She gets out of the carrier, and walks
to the
ham-ham clubhouse. On the way she meets Maxwell.
"Hi, Maxwell. What's, like, up?"
"Nothing much, Sandy. How about you?"
"I'm good."
"Have you been reading that book? You know, the one I gave you at Valentine's
Day?"
"Yeah! I mean, well, mostly, uhh sort of? Alright, alright, no, I haven't."
They both begin giggling, but once they cool down Maxwell says,
"But you know, reading really builds up your self-esteem, and makes
you
smarter!"
"What, do you think I'm dumb, Maxwell?"
"No, no, it's just that.."
"You only like me because I'm pretty? Is that it?"
"No! If I went after looks, don't you think I'd be going after Bijou?"
"What?"
"No, no, I mean.."
"Now you think I'm ugly, too? What is, like, wrong with you, Maxwell?!"
"I didn't mean that. I just wanted you to read the stupid book!"
"What, the BOOK is stupid? You gave me a book you didn't like? You
were
trying to find a polite way to get rid of it? Huh? ANSWER ME!!"
"Sandy, nothing is wrong with me! You're the one who started this whole
thing!"
"Suuuuurrre I was. If anything goes wrong between Sandy and Maxwell,
it's
always, like, Sandy's fault! Because perfect little Maxwell always
does it
all, like, the right way!" They continue arguing, all the way to the
clubhouse.
Meanwhile at the Clubhouse~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bijou, Hamtaro, Boss, Kiro (read Boss's girl-ham for info), Stan, Pashmina,
Howdy, Dexter, Penelope, Cappy, Panda, Oxnard are all waiting for Sandy
and
Maxwell to go acorn gathering. Finally they enter.
"I thought you were so totally cool, but I know I'm, like, wrong!"
"I thought you were nice, but I guess I'm not always right? Am I?"
"I don't think I like you anymore, Maxwell!"
"Nether do I you." He said.
"Whatever. I think we need to see other ham-hams, Maxwell, 'cause I'm
like so
totally over you!"
"Fine! I don't care! I don't need you. Because I've got a new crush!"
"On who, Maxwell?" she snapped back
"On.." he looks around the room, "Bijou!"
"But Maxwell! I already love Hamtaro." Bijou says, before Hamtaro can
say
anything.
"Oh, right. I meant, umm, Pashmina!"
"Hey!" Stan, Dexter, and Howdy all say in unison.
"Right! Then I have a crush on.."
"No one, Maxwell. You're all alone. Too bad for you!"
"And you like someone else?"
"No."
"Well too bad for you."
"At least I didn't lie about it!" she yells. Hamtaro and Bijou look
at each
other, telling each other how strange this was to them with their eyes.
Later that day~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"We should try to cheer them up and put them back together," Bijou says
to
Kiro, Boss, Hamtaro, Pashmina, Penelope, Dexter, Howdy, Panda, and
Stan.
"But, ummm, well, how will we, um, do that?" Kiro asked.
"You really need to work on that speech problem, Kiro Baby." Stan said
to
her. Boss glared at him.
"I mean, Kiro." He said, and then starts walking quickly to avoid Boss.
"Well, my idea, was to sing the twirl whirl song to Sandy, and I hoped
one of
you boy-hams would know what to do about Maxwell," Bijou continues.
"We could make him a surprise and tell him he could have it if he would
love
Sandy again!" Panda suggests excited that he had finally come up with
a good
idea.
"No, bribing him won't do it; that would probably make things worse
between
them."
"Oh." Panda says gloomily.
"I could talk to him." Dexter volunteered.
"Well, talking would probably do it in this case, it's Maxwell after
all."
Pashmina says.
"I could help, too!" Howdy offers. Pashmina giggles.
"You'd probably just make it worse, even more then Panda's idea!" she
says,
then hugs Howdy.
"Hey, what about me? I'm the one who's actually DOING something!" Dexter
says
jealously.
"Oh, right." She hugs Dexter, too, but not with any actual LOVE in
the
matter.
"I could, too." Hamtaro says, hoping for a hug from Bijou.
"Hamtaro, you are so caring!" she says, and hugs him, as he had hoped.
Later that day, as they started to carry out the plan~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey, little sis? What's up, up there?" Stan says, looking up to her.
Sandy
is sitting on a log, normal sized to us humans, quite high for the
average-sized ham-ham. Sandy just sighs. Stan climbs up there to talk
to her.
"What's wrong? Maxwell problems?" he says, trying to get somewhere.
"Leave me alone, Stan."
"Wait, I know what'll cheer you up!"
"Stan…"
"Twirling, whirling, 'round we go,
Twirling high and twirling low,
See the colors skip and flow
Twirling…"
"Twirling. Sure. Whatever. Just, like, leave me alone, okay?" Stan looked
a
bit hurt.
"Sure, sis. Listen, if you need anything..."
"Just go already!" she snaps.
Meanwhile~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hi, Maxwell." Dexter says.
"Hi, Dexter. Listen, if you were going to try to get me to like Sandy
again,
forget it! I just don't like her, and that's final!"
"Okay." Dexter replies, going about his own plan he had made up.
"Well, okay." Says Maxwell.
"I'm trying to find a really big acorn. Do you see any, Maxwell?"
"Umm, yeah, here." He hands on to Dexter.
"Speaking of Sandy, why are you fighting, anyway?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Okay." They walk together for a few moments in silence.
"Are you sure you don't want to talk about it, Maxwell?"
"YES!"
Hamtaro's Turn~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hi, Maxwell. Have you seen Sandy? She told me she wanted to talk to
me."
"Sandy? Why would I know where she is?" Maxwell said in a disgusted
tone.
"Because you're her boy-ham, of course!"
"No I'm not!"
"Why not?"
"You saw the fight we had, Hamtaro! We just don't like each other anymore,
that's all!"
"You mean you're breaking up over one silly little fight?"
"Yes!"
"Well that's kind of silly, if you think about it."
"Why?"
"Because if everyone in the world broke up every time they fought,
there
would be no ham-ham couples! Or friends, for that matter." Maxwell
sits and
thinks about this for a moment then sighs deeply.
"You're right, Hamtaro, I'd better go talk to her. I'll tell her she
can talk
to you later, but I need to talk to her first."
"Oh, umm, don't bother with that, I'll just tell her you told me to
wait for
me to talk to her…"
"Ok, whatever way you want, Hamtaro. By the way, do you have any really
huge
acorns? I might need it to apologize." Hamtaro looks at the huge acorn
he'd
gotten for Bijou, and hides it behind his back.
"Umm, no, sorry Maxwell."
"Oh, here one is! Thanks, Hamtaro, for helping me."
"You're welcome, Maxwell."
Later that day~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Umm, Sandy?" Maxwell asks for her attention as he approaches her.
"Hmph." Sandy says, sticks up her nose, and walks away.
"Sandy, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."
"Maxwell, you aren't as smart as you seem. You think you can survive
without
me forever, but your, like, right here crawling back too me. Well learn
to
survive, geek-ham!"
"Listen, I was trying to be nice. I'm not going to raise my voice,
even after
you called me a 'geek-ham', I'm better then that. I wonder who that
makes 'so
totally cool?'" he says, calmly, then turns around and starts walking.
Then
he stops and turns back towards her.
"Oh, by the way," He tosses her the acorn. "I got that for you. See
you
around, Sandy."
"Whatever."
Back at the clubhouse~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All the Ham-hams were admiring (and eating) their acorns. Hamtaro gave
her
the big one he'd found, and she gave him a hug. Sandy is in a far corner,
separated from the rest of the ham-hams, staring at the acorn Maxwell
gave
her.
"Maxwell is so great, why was I so mean to him? He was being so nice,
so
mature! I was like a little baby-ham, though, with all my calling names
and
being rude. Even after that, he still gave me this big acorn. He IS
totally
cool, and, I'm just, like, mean and rude." Sandy says to her acorn.
Then she
sighs. She looks at the ham-hams, and spots Pashmina pointing to her
and
saying something to Bijou and Kiro. They, along with Penelope, walk
towards
Sandy.
"Here we go." Sandy says in a sigh.
"What is wrong, Sandy?" Bijou asks.
"Nothing, you guys go talk with your boy-hams or whatever, I'm okay,
really."
"No your not. Listen, Sandy. We're your friends, were here to help,
and we're
not going back 'till you and Maxwell-I'm mean, what ever is bugging
you is
better."
"Ookyoo, ookyoo!" Penelope says, supporting Pashmina's statement, as
always.
"Sounds like you guys already know what's wrong with me, don't you?"
"Well, umm, yes." Kiro says. (If you STILL haven't got it after reading
this
story AND Boss's Girl-ham, Kiro stutters. I got this idea because when
I was
little I added at least five 'uhh's' or 'umm's' in my sentences, annoying,
but people do it. Live with it.)
"Well, what should I do?"
"That's pretty obvious, Sandy." Pashmina says.
"Apologize, Sandy." Bijou says.
"I don't think I could do that. I'd look like a total geek-ham. After
what I
said to Maxwell, when he treid to apologize? No way." Sandy sighs.
"He did, umm, apologize?" Kiro asks.
"Yeah."
"Maybe Hamtaro deserves an extra hug.. Maybe a small kiss." She giggles.
"Heke? Why?" Sandy says, confusedly.
"Nothing!" everyone replies at once.
"Well, anyway, you really do need to apologize, Sandy. It's the only
way."
Pashmina says.
"Even if it does make you seem like a 'geek-ham'. I think he's more
important, don't you?" Bijou adds to Pashmina's comment.
"Besides, if, uhh, Maxwell really, umm, loves you, I don't think he'd,
uhh,
umm, think you're a geek-ham." Kiro says.
"Ookyoo, ookyoo!" Penelope agrees.
"I don't know. I'll think about it."
"Alright, Sandy." Bijou says, and all the girl-hams except Sandy turn
and
return to the group.
After Bijou, Kiro, and Pashmina talked about the problem with the rest
of the hams except Maxwell~~~~~
"I can talk to her! I did well with Maxwell, after all." Hamtaro offers.
"Good idea. But what will you say to her?" Boss replies.
"Here's what I had in mind. Everyone except the girl-hams and Cappy
and me
can go outside. Then Boss will turn around, right before going out
the door,
and tell Maxwell that Panda is making something, and that they could
use his
calculations and stuff. Then once their out the door, I'll go "Heke?
Where is
Maxwell he told me to talk to him!" then I'll go over to Sandy and
ask him
where he is, and I know the conversation from then."
"Sounds good. Let's wait a while before doing this, though." Pashmina
says.
"Why?" Everyone asks.
"Because it will look suspicious doing it right from coming from the
group."
Maxwell says.
"Right Maxwell… Maxwell?!?" Pashmina realizes suddenly
that Maxwell is in the
group.
"Hi." He simply says. "Sorry to intrude, but I was really curious!
Good plan
though. And besides, if I hadn't known about the plan, I might not
have
agreed to come outside! I was planning to go talk to Sandy just then,
anyway."
"Good point. Listen, the signal to start will be; what should it be?"
Pashmina asks for opinions.
"I will come give Hamtaro a kiss." Bijou says, giggling, then blushing.
"Okay!" Everyone says. Then they dismiss.
Taking the plan into action~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bijou gives Hamtaro the kiss. Everyone starts going outside.
Sandy sighs. "I wonder what their doing without me now.
"Heke? Where is Maxwell? He told me to come talk to him?" Hamtaro says.
Then
he walks over to Sandy.
"Hey Sandy. Do you know where Maxwell is?"
"I guess he's outside with the other ham-hams."
"Oh, well, why don't you come with me?"
"I think I'll just sit here, thanks."
"Umm, I will too, then."
"Whatever."
"So, umm… why are you so down?"
"Maxwell."
"Heke? Aren't you together anymore?"
"No, we fought."
"You mean you broke up over that little fight? That's silly."
"Maybe, but I don't know what to do. I think I want to be alone, Hamtaro."
"Okay, Sandy." He says. Then he goes to the other ham-hams and says
"It didn't work! Oh, now what have I done?"
"I will, umm, try. Sandy's my, uhh, uhh, umm, best, uhh, friend." Kiro
says.
(Am I overdoing it here?)
"Alright." Everyone says.
"Hey, Sandy! What's, umm, up?"
"I don't know." She says, and sighs heavily.
"I'm going outside. I, uhh, umm, here they're making, uhh, a big chair
for
the, umm, uhh, clubhouse. Want to, uhh, come with me?"
""No thanks, I'll just stay here-"
"Listen, uhh, Sandy! No one appreciates your, umm, droopy attitude
around
here! We're all, uhh, umm, miserable because of you. So straiten up
and, uhh,
go talk to, uhh, Maxwell!" She says. That's what, Sandy realized, was
the
reason that Kiro was her best friend. She always could turn around
and tell
you that you are going to do what everyone knew was best for you and
change
her attitude in a matter of milliseconds.
"I guess you're right, Kiro. Thanks." Sandy says gratefully.
As Sandy is talking to Maxwell~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hi, Maxwell. Could I talk to you?" Sandy said. But she was pretty sure
he
would reject her. After the way she had treated him, definitely.
"Uhh, Sure. Hold on a second. I'm going to take a quick break!" He
yelled to
Panda. Then he and Sandy went back in the clubhouse to talk alone.
"Listen, Maxwell. I know you probably don't want to hear this after
the way I
made fun of you and all, but I am really, really, sorry. I guess I
just woke
up on the wrong side of the woodchips and caused everything to get
out of
hand. I really love you though; I hope you can forgive me." Sandy said,
not
expecting any sort of acceptance, and turned away and started to walk
outside. Maxwell put his paw on her shoulder as she was leaving.
"Of course I do." He said.
"Heke? Of course you do what? Hate me?"
"No, forgive you."
"Really? Oh Maxwell, you're so sweet." They kiss each other then walk
off to
talk to the others, and everything was happy again.
The End
