"I don't understand it Hamtaro! My ribbons were here, but last week they disappeared! I've looked for them everywhere!" "That's because I took them to give to Bijou last week! I thought you wouldn't get so upset! I'm sorry! But It made Bijou so Happy!" Hamtaro blushes a bit. "Hamtaro, do you have them?" she searched the cage. "Guess not. But where could they be? I know I'll where my white ribbons today!" "That's the spirit, Laura!"

After Laura Left~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hamtaro gets out the cage and goes down the pipe.
" Hi Brandy!" he says to the dog. Then he runs off to the clubhouse. When he gets there Stan, Pashmina, Boss, and Snoozer are already there.
" Hi everyone!" everyone but Boss says hello back to him. Boss has been ignoring him ever since last week at Valentine's Day.
" Boss, are you still mad at me for giving Bijou a present at Valentine's Day?" Hamtaro waited for an answer, but heard nothing. "Apparently So." Hamtaro says. Then Oxnard and Maxwell walk in.
"Hi Oxnard! Hi Maxwell! What's up?"
" Hi Hamtaro. Nothing, just eating my sunflower seed and talking with Maxwell." "Hi Hamtaro." Maxwell said. Hamtaro walks over to them. "What are you talking about?" "Sandy and Pepper." Oxnard said.
"Oh. I see. I'll let you guys talk." Hamtaro said. "Wait, why don't you join us?" Maxwell offered.
"Well, I wouldn't have anything to talk about." "What about Bijou?" "What about her?"
"Aren't you two well you know?" Maxwell asked. Hamtaro blushed.
" Well, we do like each other, but, you know, I wouldn't say she's my girlfriend or anything." That's when Bijou walks in. She's wearing the yellow ribbons Hamtaro gave her last week at Valentine's Day.
" Hi Bijou! Wow, those ribbons look really nice on you!"
" Hi Hamtaro! Thank you for the compliment!"
" Your welcome." They both smiled at each other, and blushed a tiny bit.
" Hi Bijou. You do look lovely in those ribbons! So lovely, in fact, that I got you some more. I hope you like them."
" Why thank you, Boss, you shouldn't have!" Hamtaro turned a bit red in the face from anger and jealousy. Once he cooled down, he said,
" Boss, could I speak to you for a moment in private?" Oxnard and Maxwell looked at each other.
" Sure, why not?" Boss said, but almost everyone knew it was because Bijou was looking at them, though. Once they were alone Hamtaro became angry again.
" Why'd you do that?"
" I wanted to do something nice for Bijou."
" Look, Boss, I know you like her, but she's mine, okay?" Boss makes a little-kiddish face at Hamtaro.
" She's not yours. She's not your girlfriend, you said so you're self." " But she likes me, Sandy said so."
" Sandy can be wrong, you know." " But she's not." " Oh yeah?  Prove it." " Bijou kissed me on the cheek."
" When?" " Last week on Valentine's Day." Boss's face turned bright red, and he stomped off.

That Evening~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

" Wasn't today a great day Hamtaro?"
" Not especially, Laura." " I bet you had a great day playing today, didn't you?"
" No." " I bet tomorrow going to bring even more new and wonderful surprises, isn't it?"
" I certainly hope anything tomorrow brings is better."

The Next Morning at the Ham-Ham Clubhouse~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

" Hi everyone!"
" Hi Hamtaro!" Bijou, Pashmina, Sandy, Stan, Oxnard, Maxwell, and Cappy all said.
" Ookyoo! Ookyoo!" Penelope said.
" Zu zu zu." Snoozer said.
" Wow, did I get here late? Every one else is here already!"
" Yes you did, you silly boy you." Bijou said lovingly.
" Are we having a meeting?"
" Yup! Come on and sit at the table, Hamtaro." Howdy said. Hamtaro sat by Penelope. Bijou left her seat next to Boss came and sat next to him.
" So what's the meeting about?" Hamtaro asked.
" We're going to have a ham-ham dance." Said Pashmina. " And everyone needs to help work on something."
" I'll make anything wooden you need!" Panda volunteered.
" Okay, Good." Pashmina says.
" I'll help make decorations." Bijou said.
" Me too!" Hamtaro offered.
" Ummm, I will too."
" Alright, Bijou, Boss, and Hamtaro on decorations."
" I'll get party hats," Cappy said
" Party hats, great idea!"
" I'll get or make food!" Oxnard said excitedly.
" Me and Stan can work up a routine to entertain you all." Said Sandy.
" Cool idea, sis. Sure I'll help out."
" Great, entertainment! Perfect! Can anyone think of anything else?"
" I can get my favorite books and read stories!"" Maxwell said.
" Let's see" Panda, Bijou, Boss, Hamtaro, Cappy, Oxnard, Sandy, Stan, Oxnard, Maxwell, which leaves Howdy, Dexter, Penelope, Snoozer, and me. Well, I'm going to be busy managing and overseeing this thing, so that takes care of me. Howdy, Dexter, do you want to help Panda?"
" Sure, Pashmina. Anything for you." Dexter said.
" Whatever you say, " Precious-mina!" Howdy says.
" The name is Pashmina." She says. " Snoozer, can you watch Penelope?"
" I'm always asleep, so how can I watch her? Zu zu zu."
" Good point? Any other volunteers?"
" I can, for now." Cappy offered.
" No, that won't work; you almost always are wearing a pan on your head. You cant see anything. Boss, two on decorations is enough. Want to Volunteer?"
" Why can't Hamtaro do it?"
" Uhhhh," Pashmina started. " Well, you would, umm, take better care of her. Yeah, that's it." Pashmina said, trying to make up a reason other than the obvious one; Bijou would prefer Hamtaro, she loves him.
Boss growls. " Fine. Whatever."
" Good. Let's get started. Oh, one more thing, who says we should invite Jingle?" everyone except Boss and Snoozer raise their hand.
" Majority vote says yes. Okay. We'll invite Pepper, too. Any questions?"
" Can we bring, well, dates?" Sandy asks, looking at Maxwell slightly.
" Well, sure. Okay. Good idea. So let's get started!" Boss starts to make his way to Bijou, but Hamtaro is sitting next to her so gets there first.
" Hey Bijou," He awkwardly started.  " Would you like to go to the dance with me?"
" I'd love to, Hamtaro." They both blush and walk off to get to supplies. Boss is standing in the middle of the room, his jaw dropped, in his own world.
' I" I, can't believe it.." he says to himself.

That Evening~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Laura is at her desk writing in her diary.
" Well Hamtaro, nothing much happened today, but I did get some exciting news! We're going to have s dance at school on Friday!' she exclaims and blushes a little bit. " Maybe I'll work up the nerve to ask Travis, or better yet, maybe he'll ask me!"
" What a coincidence! We're having a dance too, a Ham-Ham dance! I'm going with Bijou, and me and her are making flowers out of construction paper and making banners and streamers, too! And by the way, how much do you like those pink ribbons of yours?"
" I wish you could go with me, but I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun playing."
" Heke!" Hamtaro says and tilts his head to the side.

The Next Morning~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

" Morning, Hamtaro! I'm going to try to ask Travis to the dance today, so I am going to wear something nice. How about this?" She asks for Hamtaro's opinion as she pulls out a soft-yellow t-shirt and blue jean pants out of her dresser, and then gets a denim scrunchie out of the box she keeps her hair accessories in.
" Not to show-offy, not to casual, pretty, but not tremendously fancy."
" I think it's perfect, Laura. Now hurry and get dressed! I want to get to the ham-ham clubhouse so I can make a few extra flowers before we get started on the streamers!"
 

Later Just Before Hamtaro Enters the Clubhouse~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hamtaro was just about to enter the clubhouse when Sandy yells to him.
" Hey wait up, Hamtaro!"
" Hi, Sandy. What's up?" Sandy runs to him and stops, panting.
" Hi (pant) Hamtaro. I want (pauses to take deep breath) talk to (pant) you."
" Okay, but let's go inside first."
" No! I mean uhh, (pant) let's talk where no one (pant) can hear us."
" Sure, why not." They walk outside together and walk to a nearby tree. By this time Sandy has stopped panting.
" Okay what did you want to talk about, Sandy?"
" Look, I'm not saying you shouldn't go to the dance with Bijou, because you should. I'm just saying that you'd better try and avoid Boss."
" Good idea."
" Yeah, and don't try to talk to him, because if you do, he will probably through you out."
" Thanks, Sandy. I'm going to go work on the decorations some now, see you later!"
" Bye, Hamtaro."

After he had Finished Making about 2 Flowers~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

" Hello, everyone!" Bijou says.
" Hi, Bijou!" Hamtaro jumps up and walks over to her.
" Hello, Hamtaro. You've been working on our flowers, I see."
" Yep. But they don't look as good as the ones you made." Then Boss butted in.
" Hi, Bijou. How are you doing?"
" Hello, Boss. I'm fine, but if you excuse us, Hamtaro and I have to get to work." She takes Hamtaro's paw and they walk to the table where they'd been working. Boss got really angry, but didn't say anything. He just watched Penelope to make sure she didn't get in trouble.

The Day of the Dance~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There was a lot of talking going on in the ham-ham clubhouse. After everyone got here, the dance would begin. The clubhouse looked great. It was covered in beautiful decorations. Oxnard had brought some delicious looking chocolate sunflower seeds and acorns. The only people who needed to come were Jingle, Bijou, Hamtaro, and Dexter. Hamtaro came in and said hello to everyone. Howdy had brought a nice little ham-ham CD player and CD's. Hamtaro was wearing a little blue bow tie he'd borrowed from Laura, and had brought a flower for Bijou. Dexter comes in, carrying a huge flower, for Pashmina. Jingle and Bijou walk in, Bijou is wearing her yellow ribbons and a dress that matched them perfectly. Even jingle had a bow tie, red, to match his guitar.
" Hi, Bijou! You look very pretty today!"
" Thank you, Hamtaro." The music starts. It's a fast dance; and everyone pairs up and dances together. Hamtaro and Bijou have fun dancing together, and finally a slow dance comes on.
" Now's my chance," Boss thought to himself. Hamtaro and Bijou are already dancing, but Boss doesn't care. Then he hears Bijou. He gets a little closer to hear.
" I love you, Hamtaro."
" I love you too, Bijou." Boss gets tears in his eyes and runs straight between them to the door.
" Boss!" Bijou cries.
" Oh dear, he must've heard us!" Hamtaro says.
" Why should that matter?" Bijou asks. " Umm, well, because, he likes you too." " Oh."
" I'm going to go talk to Boss, you should come too." Bijou nods her head in agreement and they take each other's paws and go out the door. They search for Boss, but when they find him, it's not a big of a relief as they thought. He takes one look at them and starts crying, loudly. They still were holding paws. They let go quickly, but wish they didn't have to do so.
" Let me talk to him, first." Bijou says to Hamtaro.
" Okay, if you want to." Bijou walks over to Boss and says,
" Umm, Boss, could I speak to you?" Boss tries to stop crying, and stops mostly, but is still a little teary-eyed.
" Boss, I really do love you.."
" Then why don't you get rid of Hamtaro?"
" You didn't let me finish. I was going to say I really do love you, but not in the way I love Hamtaro. You are like a big brother to me, but that, I'm afraid, is all." " Let me talk to Hamtaro."
" Alright." She goes to Hamtaro and tells him Boss wants to speak with him, but stays close by, just in case he tries to hurt him.
" So, looks like you won." " Won what?" " Bijou." " Boss, Bijou is more to me than a prize."
" Oh." " Oh what?" " I was testing you; to see if that WAS all she was to you."
" Oh." " I'll treat her well." " You better. Now you guys should probably get back to the dance."
" What about you?" " I'm not coming back " till the dance is over." " Why?" " I wouldn't have anyone to dance with."
" You could dance with Bijou." " Well, why not?" they shake paws, and make their way back to the dance. Bijou stops along the way. Hamtaro does, too.
" Hey, what's the holdup?" Boss asks. " Go ahead, Boss, we'll be there in a minute." Hamtaro says. Boss goes ahead. " Hamtaro, thank you." " For what?" " For being nice to boss." She hugs him tightly and kisses him gently and lovingly. They take each other's paws. And continue walking, not saying a word to each other.

Later that Evening~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Laura writes in her journal.
" Well, I forgot to ask Travis to the dance today, but I guess I can do that tomorrow. How was your day, Hamtaro?"
" Great, Laura. Bijou is my new girlfriend and Boss is okay with it!"
" I bet tomorrow will be just as exciting, and even more wonderful!"
" Heke!"
