Pets
As you can see we are extreme pet lovers!
We have taken in to out hearts and home many fur babies! And what dosnt make it in the house is spoiled and taken care of outside.  We have ranch kitties that are on the wild side but some of them end up becoming tame from the patience and time that we give to them. And if they need care they know that ranch mom will do what she can to remedy the problem. : )
This is our sweet "Andy".
He is a purebred Wirehaired Dashund.
We found out later that he was on his own in the desert for almost 3 months.
My husband and I were out in the back property when we heard a dog screaming for his life. He was being attacked by the  Pitbull dog that lives next to us.  I climbed over the fence as fast as I could and somehow got the Pitbulls attention for a split secound and was able to pull him off the little dog. We were sure he would not survive from the horrible wounds inflicted on him. He was in shock for about 3 days and with much care from our vet he pulled through. We spent many days and nights attending to his wounds and drains needed to keep out further infection.
He has become one of the lights of our lives!
And tends to favor my husband, but comes to mom when he needs a mothers touch. : )
I am still trying to figure out how someone didn't miss seeing there dog the first month he was missing?
This is my sweet little guy "Toby"
Toby came to us in a very  heart warming way.
I had just lost my Dobie of 12 1/2 years, "Sterling" I was devistated and I was not looking to love another pup right away. Well to my surprize A small Rescue was looking for a home for a Chihuahua mix.( I still think he is just a big Chi *S* )
For some odd reason that I still can not explain except that maybe Sterling in his own way along with the angels felt I needed to love again. So my husband and I drove 3 hours from our home to just take a look at him. We spent quite awhile with him with him  and at that point I fell in love with him!
You could tell that he had been mistreated and left  to wonder the busy streets. The lady that took him in had taken care of a flea alergy that made him lose all of his hair from the middle of his back to the end of his tail. She had him altered and I went through the adoption procedure so they knew he was getting a forever loving home. He was very thin to the point of ribs showing.  I put him on a good diet and this is what he has become within the last 2 1/2 months! He looks great, loves to play and he goes to the ranch in the evening to watch me do my chores! He is a little chow hound! He now weighs 13 Lbs, which is just right for him! I love him dearly and so does hubby and thank Sterling and the angels for letting Toby and I find eachother!
This is our little girl "Chancey"
She is a purebred Queensland Heeler.
And she was another dumped off puppy.
I was at Team Penning one Friday night and a man had picked her from the litter the week before. He brought her back and put her on the ground and said a friend was bringing him a "Better" dog. She was only 12 weeks old and looking worried. I was shocked to say the least! We already had 3 Dobies at home but I knew I had to do the right thing. So I called hubby and told him what had happened and he said bring her home with you. So I put her in the truck and when Penning was over I loaded up my horse and off we went! She is a sweetheart but full of more energy than any pup needs! *S* She loves to be out in the back property during the day and at night she sleeps in the house. If it gets to hot or too cold she is in the house with the other kids! What a houseful! But we wouldnt change it for anything!
Our little Pygmy goats!

The grey one is "Tanna" and the brown and black one is "Shayna". They are very sweet and funny!
I had always wanted Pygmy goats and when we moved to a more rural area we adopted these sweeties! They act  almost like a dog! But then Chancey is with them everyday and she feels and they do also that she is their protector. They have their own liitle barn and love to be played with!
They try to sneak in the house now and then! *S*
I trim their hooves just like a horse needs theirs done. But I can do goats! We love them very much and they make home just a bit more farm like. : )
This is "Bun Bun"
We rescued her when she was the size of a large chicken egg! She was the only survivor of her nest when a dog killed the rest of the babies. I saw her hop into one of the horse's stalls and I put a bucket down and she hopped in and she came home with us in a little bird cage! We fed her uncooked oatmeal until she was able to eat a regular diet. Which I might add is very healthy! She loves grapes! She is a Cottontail Bunny and their life span is only about 2 to 3 years, she is now a bit over 6 years old, but we are sure that is from living in captivity. I called a vet to see if she could return to the wild as she grew up, but they said she would never survive. So we made the only choice we could....A new pet! She loves my husband and bats at me?. HE HE!
Ok! Ok!
I know! They are Catfish! But still our pets none the less! : ) And yes, they have names! From left to right: Speckles,  Whiskers and  little one. I know they love us in some form or fashion. : )
These are the "Ranch kitties"
Momma cat was very scared of us at first but after she had her kittens she let us help her. They were all born with terrible eye infections, but she let me care for them every day until they were all cleared up.
She was a very good mom for being as young as she was. Unfortunetly she was hit by a truck on the dirt road. I found her and brought her on the ranch and laid her to rest. Luckily the kittens were old enough to eat and take care of themselves but it was very hard on them at first. Especially one of the black kittens as he was very close to her. All but 2 are still at the ranch and one of them was  the one closest to his mom. He now lets us pick him up, rub his tummy and plays with nylon string that I made up for him. He and his siblings cant wait for meal time! Hubby named him "Blacky" He has a white spot under his neck and on his tummy. He is just so cute!

We miss you Momma cat!
Yep!
More ranch kittys!
This is 2 that were a bit older than the kittens above.
The black and white one is named "Bumbles" and the
Calico is "Turtle" They both let you pick them up and loved to be petted and have their tummies rubbed! Bumbles as been gone for about a month, but we are hoping he comes back to join the family. Turtle is a very quiet little girl and hubby just loves her!
I just love these kids!
And they cant wait for mealtime either! None of them are affraid of the horses, in fact they nap in the shade in their corrals. : )
