Background: Zapporia Lahue was born  in Delhi India to Sahib Lahue, a high official in India and Amy Rowe, an American linguistic on June 10, 1973.  Zap was the product of an affair that her father  had. He had been married for 12 years when he met an American by the name of Amy Rowe, a 26 year old language expert.  A year after they  started the affair, Zapporia was born.  Sahib could not leave his wife or his other 4 children, one who was born just two months before Zapporia, so he put Amy and Zapporia up in a nice hotel suite.  This is what Zapporia called home for three years.  That was until Amy demanded Sahib leave his wife for her. When Amy did that, her and Zapporia was put on the first plane to the United States.  Sahib gave Amy a very nice monthly payment to give Zapporia a nice up bringing.  Zapporia has never seen her father again. Or met any of her brothers and sisters.

After returning to America, Amy returned to her job in Washington  as a Linguistic expert for the Pentagon.  Zapporia spent her time being raised by Nanny�s or boarding schools starting at age 8.  Zapporia, or Zap as her friends called her, missed her mother terribly and started studying languages so she�d be able to have something in common with her mother.  Her mother switched Zapporia�s  mother switched her boarding schools frequently so she did not have a chance to keep friends, which made her a loner. She learned to do things on her one with out the help of anyone and depending on only herself.

When Zapporia was 15, she went home for Christmas hoping her mother and her could spend some time together. This didn�t happen, she saw her mother two times, and spent  Christmas day with the maid.  When her mother came home that night, Zapporia confronted her, throwing the necklace Amy had gotten her for Christmas in her face. She stormed out, breaking the code on her mothers computer, and getting the bank account number, taking all the money her father had sent.  She has never spoken to her mother again.

Zapporia  never returned to the boarding school, she finished high school getting  her diploma through the internet. At age 18, Zapporia changed her last name from Rowe to Quinton, a last name she picked out in the phone book. She didn�t want any contact with either one of her parents. Zapporia, who was well versed in languages, took classes through the computer in Linguistics.  Her father had continued sending money to Zapporia�s mother, she had never told him that Zapporia had ran off. For Zapporia this was fine because every month she had the money routed to her bank account before it ever reached her mother.  Zapporia supported herself with this money while she attended college.

After she graduated college, she started applying for governmental jobs.  She began working as a linguistic specialist for the United States Army. She had high level clearance and is able to carry a gun on airplanes because of her security clearance. But the air marshal must always clear her weapon before travel. The past three years, Zapporia has been working with the United States Army in Iraq, questioning terrorist subjects.

Zapporia keeps a residence in Tokyo and was on her way to Seattle to get a new assignment when she disappeared.
