Background: Xander Riach was born in Miami Florida to his mother the CEO and his father the shrink. Growing up, Xander watched his brother Vin rebel at every turn. At age five he knew what he wanted to do with his life. Be just like his big brother in every way. At age eleven he started smoking with his teenager brother behind the school and at twelve he was getting drunk, much to the dismay of his father. By the time his other brothers were all born, Xander had fallen into the roll of second oldest and tried to quit smoking, but found it was too hard to quit and kept smoking and drinking both.

With his mother never around him and his father always trying to annalize him, it was no wonder at thirteen he ran away for the first time. He didn't get far, only to the bus station before the cops showed up and took him home. After entering counseling at school, he realized he REALLY needed to leave. At fourteen he made it to Atlanta before getting caught and dragged back to Miami. At that point his father decided it would be best that he not see his brother anymore. So Vin, free of the family, moved off to Seattle. Xander wrote his brother every day, but doubted he ever got the letters as a response never came back to him. Once he reached fifteen, he got the ultimate plan, one that involved fraud and overseas travel.

One day when his mom was home, he stole her credit cards and snuck out the window and out into oblivion. Getting on a train and only getting money out when he really felt it was safe, he made it to California two weeks later. Getting a fake ID, he got on a plane and went to Japan, hoping to lay low for a while.  When he got to Japan, he felt bad about most of his brothers still being stuck at home. It was only when his brother Vin  tracked him down a year later and gave him money for a plane ticket to live with him in Seattle that he decided to leave and live with Vin and Diesel in Seattle. They had plans to go looking for their other brother Puck once Xander was in Seattle with them.

Xander boarded the plane to Seattle, expecting to see his brother very soon when the plane went missing.
