| Background: Jesse Harten was born on a warm April day in Madrid. His father and mother ran a music shop in the center of town for years, and their love for music spread to their sons. At age five Jesse picked up a guitar and at age nine he was playing in front of the store for money. His family, being devout Roman Catholics also taught him to respect life and always to help others. |

| After graduating high school, Jesse decided to follow one of his callings and joined 'Operation Mobilization'. His first posting was to South Africa, moving on just about every year to different places. It was in Zimbabwe Jesse met the woman of his dreams. Emily became everything to him, even taking to calling her 'Vida Mia'. (My life in spanish.) | ||||||||||
| But after a while he realized that being on a mission for the rest of his life wasn't in his plans. After promising to keep in constant contact with Emily, Jesse met up with his brother Angel in New York City to start a band. | ||||||||||
| After three weeks they had a band started called 'Los Lobos Tristes' with four of their friends. They sent their first tape to Madrid to a record company. They became a quick hit in Spain and Mexico over the span of seven months. But after being apart from Emily for three years, except for phone calls and care packages, he got a call her father died. He flew there immediately and went to the funeral with her. After that, the band moved to Wilmington DE and their relationship returned to the same fire it had been before. | ||||||||||
| After being together again, the band decided it was missing something in the melody line and volunteered Jesse to go to Japan and learn some new guitar licks and promote their newest CD. Sadly he departed, but once there got an idea. Calling Emily's sister Joey, he arranged for them to come to Japan and he'd ask her to marry him. | ||||||||||
| Everything went as planed and during a romantic dinner alone in a hotel room he asked her. With an instant yes, he got a plane ticket out on the same day her and her sister were leaving. Packing his guitar and clothes he boarded the plane with the sisters. He was last seen with Emily before the flight they were on went missing. | ||||||||||
