| Background: William Harper was born in Dublin, Ireland, and was the second child of Brian Harper. His father was a businessman, running a small business, while his mother owned a small farm down south in Ireland. It had been decided on birth that Michael would take over the farm while William would take over the business. There was a certain amount of pressure put on William in his childhood. He was expected to do well at school, to attend Mass and to stay out of trouble. The last was hard, since he was a large lad and often got challenged for fights. He was a bright boy, but most saw him as a tall brute because of his size. |

| William left school at 16, going to work for his father instead. He was set in charge of letters first, and later the economics. He learned a lot from working, seeing different things in his father's business. When he was 18, he had read himself up to far greater things. He could see that the company would be better if it opened to international business, but his father was strict on wanting it just to be Irish. William, who had no legal claims, couldn't argue with him at the time. The years passed slowly, but William kept busy. He had a good head for the business, and a practicality that was a little rougher than needed. He got things done. | ||||||||||||||
| His father died when he was 30, leaving the business for him to govern. William worked quickly, getting the business open for international contact despite his mothers wishes. Within five years, the business had grown by 150 % and had opened four offices. One was in New York, one in Seattle, one in Ireland and one in Japan. His mother died in 2001, leaving not even a word to her 2nd son. William didn't stress over it though, instead he moved to Seattle where he settled his business, but still kept a large proportion of it in Ireland. | ||||||||||||||
| William had spent 3 weeks in Japan making business contacts for Korea, China and Vietnam, and was on his way to Seattle when he disappeared. | ||||||||||||||
