Background: Astolat Talbot, named after the Lady of Shalott who killed herself over unrequited love for Sir Lancelot, was born in East London in 1972. Her parents where both hard workers, but spent just as much time out partying as they worked. None of them were really suited to have a child, and Astolat was often left alone. As a child she read a lot, spending time alone with books and music. When her mother died in an accident when she was 12, Astolat’s world changed dramatically. Her father continued to go out, returning with strange women one day and the next weeping over his dead wife or hitting his daughter for looking like her. Needless to say, Astolat’s future didn’t look too bright. She was a relatively attractive girl, but it was more in what was in her eyes that made men attracted to her. She did not apply to college after finishing her A-levels, but instead left London and travelled to Manchester where she pursued dancing. She worked mornings in a small café, working hard to earn enough for rent. And sometimes, just sometimes when she couldn’t afford rent, she would go to a bar and pick up a man and in the morning leave with money she had taken.

But when dancing became too expensive, Astolat decided to find something else to do. She gave it up and continued with what she had done before, tricking men into dating her before stealing their money. As she got older, the deal got more advanced and she became what is known as a con-artist. She got more talented with spotting what a man liked and being that person, something that often got her money. She started using false passports and travelled to America where she targeted single rich men who weren’t exactly known for getting the women they desired.

She had her own bank account using her real name, as well as an apartment in London and one in Seattle. She even gave to charities when she felt like it, spending the money she had worked hard to get in the manner of which she was comfortable with. Her most recent thing was going to Japan with a businessman she had met in Seattle. She travelled there under the name Kari Erikson and was getting well along with the elderly Japanese businessman. However, what she did not know was that he was also in the Yazuka, the Japanese mafia. It did not take her long before realising, and her foremost priority became getting herself away from him. She was caught once getting away and her punishment made her go to the hospital later to get stitches on her back. She got away after 4 months, the longest she had ever been with one man, carrying a suitcase with about £2 million. She was on her way to Seattle when her flight went missing.
