Karol swept the remaining dust out the back door. She heard a knock and went to open the door.A man in a delivery outfit.

"You Karol Mason." He said around a mouthfull if gum.

"Yes I am."

"Got a delievery for ya sign here."

Karol took the clipboard and signed her named. "You can bring it right inside."

"Sorry we got another delievery to make before six."He motioned for his partners to unload the truck.

"You can't leave all this stuff out here.It's delicate machines and medicine."

"Once it's all off the truck its not my problem."He turned and walked away.

"At least put the heavy ones inside."The man didn't turn around.Karol growled and started to pick up boxes carrying them inside mumbling the whole time.She was going to get Karen for sending her men like this.

With the final box off the truck they drove off. Karol went through the boxes she had brought in putting them in their proper place.There was a tiny knock on the door,she turned to find a little girl holding a kitten.

"Can I help you?"

The little girl held the kitten close."My kitty, he hurt his foot."

"Bring him inside and lets have a look."The little girl walked in and slowly handed over the kitten.

Karol sat him on the table and brought the light closer."What happened to him?"

"He climbed up the tree and my brother went up to get him down and he dropped him."

"Well I believe I can fix him as good as new.That is if its ok to leave him here for the night?"

The little girl nodded.

"What's your name?"

"Amy."

"And this little guy's name?"

"Cuddles."

"Well Amy I will take good care of Cuddles for you and just come by tomorrow and you can take him home."

A smile lite her face."Thank you."

"Your very welcome."

Once Amy was gone Karol went about taking care of the kitten. A hour later the kitten was resting comfortably with a broken leg in the small cage.Karol went back to putting things away. She turned on the radio and started singing along.

Josiah stood at the door watching Karol dancing around singing. He cleared his throat and watch Karol turn and blush a bright red.

She turned off the radio."I didn't hear you come in."

Josiah smiled and walked the rest of the way in."You didn't have to stop on my account."

"Well I got a bit carried away."

"You weren't bad."

Karol blushed again.

Josiah decided to let her off the hook."I was riding by and saw all the boxes."

"Yeah my supplies came in. Those idoit movers said they didn't have to time to carry them inside.I moved all the ones I could inside."

"You could have called me. I would have been happy to help."

"I couldn't call you away from work."

"Not much happening today. The real fun begins on the weekends."

"Alright then you will need something to carry in the really heavy boxes."

"I can handle them." Josiah said as he followed outside.

"Don't be such a guy, some of those are heavy your going to need help lifting them."

Josiah laughed,"Alright I have something in my car that will help." He went to his car and pulled out a hand truck.

"You always carry that around?"

"Sure never know when I might need to help out a pretty lady carry in her vet supplies."He grinned at the blush in her cheeks."Actually I barrowed it to take something into my appartment."

"Looks like its my lucky day then."

Josiah loaded up and carried the equipment inside while Karol went through and made sure they were not damaged.

Josiah carried the last load into the building. He looked around,"Karol?"

"In the back."He heard her call out. He walked to the back to see her holding a small kitten.

"I see you got a patient already."

"A little girl named Amy brought him in her brother dropped him from a tree by accident."

He reached out and petted the kitten. It lifted its head into the touch purring loudly."He's very lovable."

"I had a cat that looked like this once for some reason it ran away." She nuzzled the kitten then put him away."I want to thank you for helping me with these things."

"Its all part of the service."

"Well there must be some way I can repay you back?"

"You can have dinner with me."

"We eat together at the Standish Grille."

"Thats with everyone. I want it to be with just you."

Karol was speechless,"I..."

"We can go to Ajo, they have some real nice resturents."

She nodded and smile."That sounds great."

Josiah smiled back,"Great I'm off tomorrow and we can go about lunch time."

"Alright I'll be here."

Josiah turned and headed out the door.

Karol watched him go a smile on her face. She went back to work
