In the dark, four figures huddled around a table, trying to stare each other down, waiting for one to speak. The one possessing the rather large nose stood and cleared his throat.

"We’re one man down."

Another snorted.

"No kidding."

The long nosed man glared back.

"But we can do fine without him. J was a psycho-"

"-Just like us."

The first speaker glared at the other.

"Well then….now it’s time to PROVE it!"

A monitor suddenly lit the room with a brilliant blue glow. The others stared, then gasped as the many figures and outlines became obvious to them.

"You….Your making ANOTHER one?!"

"This is insane! What do you think you’re DOING?!"

"You CAN’T be SERIOUS!"

"And why not?"

The others sweatdropped.

"It was a wonderful plan J had. He just didn’t understand HOW valuable it could prove to be in the end. An internal weapon to strengthen even the most capable of soldiers." He turned to stare more closely at the others. "I understand. Do you?"

They watched him with looks of disbelief.

"So…um…How will YOU make it better this time. Our lives are clearly on the line here."

The man smiled down at the others from his place of importance standing above them.

"Oh, it’s not the same model. J didn’t understand that you cannot simply control another person."

"And how is yours different?"

"I plan to make them think they’re in control. The mind is a powerful thing. It can be exploited when need be."

The others nodded.

"So this is all a game to you then? Just a way to carry out what J began before his death?"

"Everything in life is a game. The way you think, the pawns you get. ….I’m just tipping the scales in our favor…"

::sniff sniff:: Is that a SEQUEL I smell?!? ::dodges pointy objects:: YES! You must wait to find out what will happen to poor Heero in the next story! I already have some ideas…::evil grin:: but feedback is always appreciated. This story took me a LOONG time to write. I hope my efforts were worth it.

One more thing though. In the sequel, I have been considering changing the pairing for the ficcie. Or at least adding a new one in as well. What do you readers think? Some more Quatre x Heero action or maybe someone else should have Heero for a change? PLEASE MAIL ME AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK! ^_~.
