Quatre was lying down in the hospital. He slowly opened his eyes.
Rasid saw him waking up and helped him sit up, "Master Quatre, how do
you feel?"
Quatre looked at Rasid and then looked out the window to watch the sunset,

Trowa and Duo were driving to the hospital. Trowa was driving and Duo
was riding shotgun. He was holding a bottle of Champaign, three fancy glasses
and a bouquet of white roses. He looked at Trowa, "I hope Quatre's

He didn't respond.

Trowa stopped the car at the red light and glanced at the sunset, Quatre

He looked at his sister and turned immediately back to the window.

Duo looked at Trowa, 'I wonder why Trowa spaced out like he did Now
that I think about it, he went after Quatre on a whim. Is he in love with

"Duo, stop staring at me."
"Sorry." He looked straight ahead.
Everything gleams
As I return to the wonder of childhood
Trowa parked the car in the hospital parking lot. He and Duo got out
of the car. He took the flowers from Duo and they walked into hospital.
'Quatre, I hope you're alright and I hope I can see that beautiful smile
of yours when I tell you how I feel. I want to see that smile you gave
me when I played the flute for you.'
They walked up to the receptionist.
"My I help you?"
Trowa looked at her, "Yes, we're here to see Quatre Winner."
"Oh yes, Quatre. He's on the 2nd floor in room 305."
"Thank-you."
Trowa and Duo got into the elevator.

There was a knock at the door. Quatre looked over to see the door open.
Trowa peeked his head in, "You up for some visitors?"
Quatre smiled, "Trowa!"
Trowa walked in with Duo right behind him.
Duo looked at Quatre, "Don't forget about me."
"Hey, Duo."
Trowa sat down in the chair that Rasid had been sitting in, "How are
you feeling?"
"I feel a lot better." 'Now that I got to see you.'
Duo held up the bottle of champagne, "Let's keep our promise and
celebrate." He poured the champagne into each of the glasses. They raised
their glasses in the air. Duo smiled at his friends, "Let's make a toast.
To the peace of the colonies and to Quatre's recovery!" They brought their
glasses together and started to sip on the champagne.
Duo's attention diverted to the window looking out to the hall. He looked
at the girl who had just walked up to Iria and Rasid, "Hildie?" his eyes
lit up, "Hildie!" he put his glass down and ran out into the hall.
Quatre looked at Trowa and smiled, "Thanks for the flowers."
Trowa got out of the chair, sat on the edge of the bed next to Quatre
and took his hand, "I want to give you another get well present."
"Huh?"
Trowa leaned forward and began to kiss Quatre passionately.

Iria, Rasid, Duo and Hildie looked in the window and looked at Quatre
and Trowa.
"Looks like my little brother has fallen in love."
Hildie smiled, "How sweet."
"I'm glad Master Quatre has finally found true happiness."
Duo looked at Quatre and Trowa, then down at the floor and put his hand
to his heart, 'Heero'

Trowa pulled away and looked into Quatre's sparkling blue eyes, "I love
you."
Quatre smiled, "I love you too" he yawned, "I'm tired" he fell asleep.
Trowa laid Quatre down gently and stocked the sleeping boy's hair, "I
love you, Quatre and I'll make sure that no one hurts you again. I promise
that I'll be there with you, right by your side forever."
'That goes for you too. I'll be by your side and I promise to always
love you for as long as I live. Even if we are in different places we'll
be together because you'll always live on in my heart.'
