Have you ever wondered if Heero or any of the other pilots left behind any one they dearly loved? Well, I have written my own version of what may have happened to Heero.

It was a regular day like any other in the colony L1. Every thing was beautiful, the trees, the plants, the animals, were bright and lively. People were walking around with their friends and family having a glorious time visiting the colony for the first time.

Leia was enjoying it also, spending time with her friends. However, one of them was acting strange. Odin was always away and rarely came to school. Leia was worried about him. She always asked him what was he up to but he told her that he was very busy.

One day she invited him over to her house, to finally talk to him about his strange occasions. To her surprise he came. Odin was not the quiet type. ANY TIME she was sad he would always cheer her up (Duo style.) Now it was different. He would rarely say a simple hello, or even come over. This was Leia’s chance now to finally find out his secret. She quietly led him to her room and closed the door. Odin sat in a chair and she sat on her bed facing him.

"Odin," she began, "what has been going on for some months now?"

He was a little surprised by the seriousness in her voice. "Nothing, I’ve just…been a little busy."

"But Odin-"

"Listen Leia, it’s really none of your concern-"

"None of my concern, Odin, we’ve been friends forever and I just can’t ignore something that important to me."

Odin stood and walked to her window. It was beginning to get dark out side. He starred at its darkness. He felt a small hand he knew all to well on his shoulder.

"Please tell me the truth Odin, I can sense something big is about to happen," she looked at his deep blue eyes.

He just could not bear to hurt her any more than he did. Odin saw her emerald eyes water. He put his hands on her shoulders. "You cannot tell anyone what I am about to say, I have been training to defend this colony because a war is forming between the Earth and the colonies."

"What?"

"I and others are going to be sent to earth to battle. To win independence from earth."

"Why you?"

He started to walk to the doorway until she ran in front, blocking him from leaving.

"Please, Odin, tell me why you?" She started to cry.

"I have to go."

"No, you can’t because…because I love you, Odin." Leia’s eyes and cheeks were wet. She just looked at him, pleading through her eyes. She had just revealed her true feelings to him, hoping only two things that he would feel the same way and would stay.

Thoughts were racing through his head.

" Leia… I… "

She lowered her face and dropped on her knees sobbing. She just wanted to die right there, Odin was the only one who could make her smile, laugh, but not cry.

Odin bent down to the floor and cupped the beautiful moonlit face. They looked at one another, and Leia found a small smile on his lips. She smiled back and threw her arms around him. Not trying to ever let him go for at that moment they were inseparable. Odin hugged her closer to him, letting her know how sincere he was. I never felt this way in my life.

"Odin, please stay I need you so much."

"I do too, but you have to understand me."

"Risking your life?!?"

"For the ones I cherish."

"Let me come with you then, at least to know that you’re alive."

"It’s too dangerous, I have to go now."

Odin helped her off the floor and wiped her tears from her pink delicate cheeks. "I love you and don’t forget that."

"I wont," she ran to get a chain he had bought her with two platinum hearts broken in half. She gave one to him with her chain, putting it around his neck. "Forget me not?"

Odin clenched the token in his fist, "never."

This is my very first fic I’ve ever written. So if you want to flame me go ahead but I’m just a warning if you don’t like it okay?
