The Road to Eternity

The meadow, so green and beautiful,
That far off land - immutable and unreachable.
The 'yellow brick road' is diminishing -
Escape is impossible.

I'll remain here for eternity
I fear the worst, I know the ways.
They told me so, the truth shines brightly,
Further blinding my view to 'the other place'.

The path disappears completely.

Obvious Stupidity

I look at him, his eyes are so meaningful,
He laughs secretly, like a clap of silence.
The lies spew forth - his eyes remain the same,
He still laughs, laughing at my stupidity,
My gullibility, my indifference.
He takes me for a fool, in an ironic, sarcastic circumstance.
I break off - enough of the foolery, enough of the lies
No more shall the dull tones of his arrogant being
Plague me to my demise.

Alcohol

Spinning, spiralling to the floor
Drinking away thoughts and feelings,
Feeling horrid, feeling sore
Who are these evil beings?
The ones who plague my sanity,
Shatter my dreams,
Hopelessly pleading to vanity
Nothing's what it seems...

The One I Love

Angst! Pure hatred and jealousy,
Spring upon my welfare and curse me to my damnation,
The one I love has been taken way,
Like a damsel in the night,
She looks so happy, I feel so alone,
My body is no longer part of my existence,
My heart bleeds excessively,
I bleed for her, the one I love...
