+Elegant Gothic Lolita 01+
Completed: April 2004
First worn:Photoshoot at Shoreline Park
Worn at: School, photoshoot, Fanimecon 2004
Cost: Around $50
Construction: Three circle skirts: one for the petticoat, and the other two for the over skirts. Then I made the bodice out of a pattern, and made the shirt out of no pattern. The petticoat was actually two petticoats: one short underneath a longer one to poof out the hips. The shoes were on sale at Torrid, and stockings were bought at Hot Topic.

Hardest: Fitting the bodice. The pattern was meant for a heftier woman. I guess I'm not a size 4 in bodices. And walking around in 4 1/2'' of heel isn't pleasant, but I got used to them by the time Fanime came around. Overall, the outfit is definately meant for a winter. Sewing on all the lace was also a bitch. And so is hemming circle skirts.
Easiest: Cutting out the skirts.
Comments: I loved the shoes, as well as other people. They kept on asking how I walked around in them. Also, alot of people took my pic at Fanime when I wore this, so it was really cool. This is being worn regularly at school, and I truly love the outfit. Another one is being planned, except with a sleeker, longer skirt, and a brocade bodice. I loved the red hair, although it didn't go too well with it. And the fake eyelashes, and the tape I had to put on them to accomodate them.
