Comments: Fuuuu... I'm going to have alot of fun trying to make that dress. I think I'm going to buy a pattern for the shirt portion, since I don't have that much experience with those kind of shirts. The sleeves are going to be interfaced, or stiffened somehow, and tied with ribbons, and attached to the dress. The skirts will be easy, since I have patterns, though I could always buy a pattern to make the bustled portion.

Details: Striped red overdress, with the skirt gathered with gold cords to create a bustle effect. Top portion has a high collar, and closes with a frog. White chiffon at neck and down the front. Sleeves are also of same red fabric as the dress, ties closed with gold cord. White chiffon lengthens the sleeve. Obi is beaded, and white brocade. Obi tie is gold cord. Underskirt is white. Frog is gold, as well as the tassel on the obi tie.
