Vampire's Life Part 3B

With Nick dead and several more hours left until sunrise Anna and Ryo could
take their time getting back to the castle. At the same time Keda was
walking away from the ashes of Anna's house. She was worried about her friend then
she looked at the sky and let a tear slip down her cheek. "I'd better get
home," She sighed and took one last look around before jumping up and into
the trees.

She thought to herself, 'Anna were ever you are, I hope you're alright.'
Keda sat on a branch and looked out over the landscape. As she moved her gaze up
to the sky a tear slipped down her cheek. What had happened to everyone? The
first person who had vanished was Rowen then Sage, and now so many years later, Anna? Keda bit her lower lip as the wind kicked up. She pulled her hair out of its ponytail and
let a few more tears fall down her cheeks.

"Are you ok?"

Keda exclaimed, "What!" She looked up and saw a boy with blue hair then made
one of her agitated faces. He climbed down the tree to the branch and sat
besides her; he didn't look to be much older than Keda. And yet, he looked
familiar…almost as if she had seen him a long time ago. She just starred at
him, her hair resting on her shoulders.

He waved his hand in front of her face, "Hello? Are you ok." She nodded and
jumped out of the tree then started walking down the coastline. The boy
followed her for a bit then he noticed something…a bat. It was flying over
the girl, almost as if it was watching her, waiting for something. He
noticed the collar around its neck, it couldn't be... Nick's bat was after her. He
ran up to the girl but didn't come up even with her.

"Why were you following me," Keda asked. Before the boy could answer a
projection came from the gem on the bats collar…it was Nick. The girl
noticed him too and she got into fighting stance but for what reason both Nick and
the boy couldn't figure out.

Nick spoke, as he rubbed his neck, "Your friend was a pretty good fighter, he even saved the girl. Well, now let's see if I can steal Rowen's dinner in stead."

Keda looked over to the boy and exclaimed, "Rowen?! I thought you were
dead?!"

"I'll explain later Kay," Rowen replied.

"You'd better Ro," Keda retorted. Nick motioned for the bats to get Keda.

Rowen yelled, "You can't have her!"

Nick laughed, "Ah, but I will." Rowen heard Keda scream, he spun around to
see the bats carrying her off.

She spoke as she was flown off, "Last time this I leave the house with out
my stakes! AAAAAAHHHHHH!" Rowen followed them until the bats flew into somewhat
of an evil looking castle.

Rowen thought, 'Keda…I'm coming pal.'

Once in the castle, Nick's bats dropped her on several silken pillows as
Nick enter. He walked over her and spoke, "Hello my dear. You shall be my queen."
He moved in to kiss her but all he got was a punch to the jaw. Keda held her
hand and rubbed the knuckles, his jaw maybe glass, but it was hard.

"No mortal has ever been able to punch me that hard," Nick growled.

Keda adlibbed, "Well, I guess I'm not every mortal."

He growled, "What did you say!" Keda stuck her tongue out at him and stood
up.

Nick spoke again, but more calmly, "You will be my bride. The last queen I
tried to gain refused me and then was rescued by that sorry excuse for a
vampire Ryo."

Keda turned white, she thought, 'Ryo's a…a vampire. No way.' Nick advanced
towards her and began sweet-talking her until he was almost right in her
face. He leaned in to kiss her again but this time she kicked him where the
sun don't shine.

Nick demanded, "What are you!"

Keda replied, with a smile on her face, "A Vampire Slayer."

Nick chuckled, "Then I suppose that you can do my dirty work for me. Because
Rowen is also a vampire, just like Ryo." Keda's jaw dropped. That couldn't
be true, it just couldn't! Nick advanced on her and this time Keda started
backing-up, and into the wall no less. She thought, 'Not good, this is not
good!'

Suddenly a voice yelled, "Get away from her!" And Rowen came bursting in the
door. He ran over and spin kicked Nick into the wall then went to Keda.
Rowen wrapped his arms around her then took her wrist and moved her to the other
side of the room. Rowen ordered, "Stay here!" She was about to protest but decided that she'd better not.

Rowen charged Nick and decked him, shattering Nick's jaw. But somehow, Nick
spoke, "Your friend already fought me but he had the same luck your gonna
have." Nick picked Rowen up by the neck and threw him across the room. Keda
ran over to him and saw several open, and bleeding gashes in his chest,
neck, and back. There was no way he could fight like this. She placed her hand on
his chest and closed her eyes, not giving him any time to protest. Her hand
glowed a silvery color and then a purplish light left her hand and covered
each of his cuts, healing them.

Nick chuckled, "So, the one I want for my queen is powerful." Keda pulled
her hand from Rowen's chest and he stood up. Rowen got ready to attack Nick
again. Keda felt something poking her in the side. Her eyes opened wide as
she slammed her hand onto one of her stakes.

"Rowen! Use this!" She exclaimed as she pulled the stake from her belt and
threw it to him. She continued, "Just make sure it goes through the heart."
Rowen caught it and nodded. He lunged at Nick, making sure to keep the point
away from him. Nick dodged it and this went on for a little while. After
about ten minutes Rowen lunged at Nick once again and Nick dodged. But when
he got ready to punch Rowen he found that he couldn't move.

He growled, "WHAT!" He looked over to Keda. Her eyes were shut and she had
her hands clasped. There was a purple aura around her.

Keda spoke, "If I can't kill you Nick, then I at least want to help get you
killed." Rowen looked at Keda and smiled, then he drove the stake through
Nick's heart. The evil vampire tried to gasp for air but it was useless. He
tried to grab Rowen's hand but he couldn't lift his arms. After a few more
moments he was just a pile of dust on the floor. The castle shook and Rowen
ran over to Keda and grabbed her wrist.

He spoke, "We've gotta get outta her." He pulled her through the corridors
of the evil palace until they were outside, then he didn't stop running until
they were a good two or three hundred feet away. Keda watch as the building
collapsed. Then she rested her head on Rowen's shoulder and passed out. He
carried her back to the castle.

Meanwhile…a girl with long brown hair sat atop a black stallion that she
called Thunderwith and galloped to the place where Nick's castle had been
just a thirty minutes earlier. She spoke, "What happened? Did Keda beat me
here? Did she kill him?" The horse neighed and the girl patted his neck.
There was a bracelet around her wrist. It had her name on it, Akira.
