Disclaimer: Don’t own anything but the plot and some added characters. I would if I could; But I can’t cause I’m broke. Someone else owns Ronin Warriors, but I tried to write a romance off of it SO there.

Chapter 9

“Mia what are you doing here,” said Kayura in shock. They thought something serious had happened to her and she looked to be fine except for her eyes that were all raw from crying.

“I let him down …he was trying to protect me and he told me to run away, but I didn’t call for help,” cried Mia. Kayura rushed to her side and slowly wrapped her arm around her waist to take some of the support of Mia and slowly set her on the concrete.

Mia wiped away her tears as she saw Sage hovering over Anubis and crawled over to them. Is he going to make it,” she whispered.

Sage gave her one of his popular flirtatious grins and said, “Sure, he’s to tough to die and to smart not to leave you.” Mia grinned back contently and took Anubis’ hand in hers; it was cold and clammy. She couldn’t believe she had actually deserted him and felt so helpless in her situation. She didn’t even rush home or call the guys, but something dragged her to that place and she didn’t know why. She could see Kayura and the guys talking and wished so badly that she could contribute more.

“Mia,” said Ryo interrupting her thoughts, “What did…” he started. He couldn’t finish before the rock underneath him began to crumble. Ryo grabbed Mia and Anbuis as the other leapt to safety.

“What in the world,” said Kento, he only thought he could have powers like that.

“Ohh look everyone’s here...well they can join you now,” came a voice out of the pitch-blackness. Three large objects fell from the sky and landed with a loud thud onto the ground. The Warriors looked on in amazement as the figures moaned and moved.

“No…that doesn’t seem right…the other Warlords?” said Rowen in disbelief.

“My you are the smart one aren’t you. We had a small rendezvous; they’re not as dangerous as people make em out to be,” he said tauntingly. Stepping over what seemed to be Dais he calmly walked over began walking toward the group. The look on his face was of pure evil, whatever he had in mind was dirty and that made Mia scared.

“Hey guys,” said Ryo, “Let’s dance,” whispered Ryo moving toward the guys.

“Hey, this is what I’ve been waiting for…lets go,” cried Kento. The guy’s all huddled together and prepared to attack. Kayura tried to stay back and out of the way as Kento struck his stick at his head. Forces and winds cause the big rushes of power to flow throughout the air. Mia’s hair whipped around her head as she hunched over Anubis to protect him from the flying debris.

Ryo and Sage joined in the attack by charging and lunching themselves up in the air ready to strike. Morgus jumped out of the way only to be struck from the side by Kento and Cye as Rowen powered up and let and arrow fly for his heart.

Morgus dodged the arrow and was left hunched over at this outnumbered attack set upon him. He began to gather his bearings and realized the Ronins weren’t as foolish as they were said to be. Morgus set up and closed his eyes as began to conjure something.

“This doesn’t look good, lets strike while he’s not looking,” said Kento. He was eager to go as anyone but wasn’t sure what Morgus had up his sleeve.

No one answered but for once thought it was a good idea and decided to follow his lead. They all choose to strike…suddenly they all flew back and hit the pavement. Morgus’ eyes began to glow a violent clear white as he chanted to a mysterious beat that made their heart pump harder.

They all stood and went on there own to take him out…now it was more personal than it could of ever be. Sage was forced to his knees as a thin white like rope was tied around him. Morgus grabbed one end of the whip and raised his arm continually, sending out rippling effects. Sage bounced up and down like a rag doll.

After several engagements with the ground Morgus let Sage go tumbling to the ground and went for Rowen.

Rowen backed up waiting for the attack but it never came, the rest of the boys had intervened. Morgus grinned and a white light flashed and quickly vanished and all the warriors were sent to the ground in a large heap.

“Now that wasn’t hard was it,” said Morgus mischievously. He walked over to Mia who was holding Anbuis tightly in her arms. Kayura went to strike him and before she could approach him he sent out a strange power, sending her crumbling to the ground. Mia couldn’t believe it was happening at all. He tried to pull her away from Anubis but her grip was like a vice and as he reached around to pull her away, without knowing his own strength hit her in the face.

She stumbled and fell down, calling Anubis in a sobbing murmur as she went unconscious. Morugs picked her up and began to pull her farther and father away until a loud blast was heard, stunning him into immobility. He set Mia on the ground next to a Willow tree.

Anubis carefully drew himself up and stood breathing heavy and weary. He sluggishly limped and pulled out weapons as he clutched his stomach. He had heard her cry out for him and if she had to then she was in trouble, and that wasn’t to be permitted,

“Let her go,” said Anbuis gasping for more breaths. Morugs broke out into a roguish laughter and laughed like it was the funniest thing he had ever heard.

“You still haven’t figured it out have you. True, Morugs could never do this…that’s why I’m Belarus. My don’t we feel stupid, besides she’s having my baby. You don’t want her,” he exclaimed.

“So you truly are a bastard. She’s my wife no matter what happens, what effects her affects me regardless,” said Anubis as he stood straight up, he ignored the pain and le the fury flow through his veins. Something was different but he couldn’t stop to think, the power began to build in him and he was enjoying it.

“Bravo…but if you want her you’ll have to come and get her,” said Morgus clapping his hands sarcastically.

“Naturally, I wouldn’t have it any other way,” challenged Anubis. He knew he had to win and he didn’t plan on losing, not to him.

Morgus struck first, throwing his staff at Anbuis. In turn Anbuis dogged and punched him in the stomach, repeatedly till Morgus fell. He stood right back up and his burly figure began to cast a shadow on to the ground, reflecting through the pale moonlight.

Anbuis refused to be intimated and struck again at him only to be forced to the ground. Morgus raised his hand in the air to strike at Anbuis. But he felt a huge physic wave from his body and a panicked expression was on his face as he halted the punch. Inside his heart began to slow and blood flowed from his temple. He was shaking oddly and as the moon moved overhead he became silent with the rest of the surroundings.

“QUAKE WITH FEAR,” cried Anbuis. Morgus was hit directly in the chest and began to dissolve into the air. He was gone and Anubis was happy. He was ready to rejoice but his mind flew about with thoughts…Mia.

Anubis jogged over to Mia, who looked as though she was sleeping peacefully. Anbuis gently shook her and her eyes fluttered open.

“Are you all right love…I mean he didn’t try anything else?” he asked her. He gently helped her to her feet and enclosed her in his arms, stroking her soaked-sweat hair back from her face.

She buried her face in his chest and he heard a sob, a tearing sound. She was trembling; her body shaking and he held her close, drinking in the feel of her, her scent, the warm texture of her skin. They were safe and he thanked God. She lifted her head up and noticed his wound…”Anubis,” she began

“Don’t worry, it’s healing up just fine with my armor on,” he finished for her.

“Lets get the others awake and go home,” she pleaded. He nodded and they walked over to Sage and Rowen and started to awake them when Anubis saw a strange expression flicker across her face.

“What?” he cried as he rushed over to her. He felt her stiffen in his arms and began to panic.

“The babies…” she said.

He had never driven so fast in his life. Mia sat next to him with one hand on her stomach and every few minutes she start breathing real hard, and she’d squirm inward totally concentrated.

“Are you alright,” Anubis asked for the umpteenth time.

“I’m fine, “she said managing to smile. This would certainly be a story to tell her children; one frantic dad, two half conscious warriors, and six others injured literally piled into the back seat on the way to the hospital.

He pulled up to the emergency and rushed inside, urgently explaining to the nurse that he had a woman about to give birth. By the time he’d turn around, Mia had come inside walking carefully, stopping to lean against one wall with one hand.

The nurse grabbed a wheel chair and started to wheel her away with Anubis explaining to Mia about her needing to sit in the car.

“Look join me in a few minutes, but I need you to take car of the rest of out friends in the car, I know you won’t let me down.” She said proudly. But before he could protest she was gone.

Anubis franticly rushed around the building looking for Mia’s room, he was already late. It had taken a half-hour to get all of them signed in, doctors and they’re meticulous information…he was fed up.

By the time he had put the hospital cap and gown and entered the labor room, Mia was on the bed with a nurse hovering over her taking her blood pressure. Mia smiled and held out her hand.

“She’s doing great,” said the nurse. Mia gasped and started breathing heavy again, and Anubis felt useless, unable to do anything as he watched her in pain.

Hours later the babies where born. The babies cried the husky infant’s wails of chagrin and Mia grinned back at them in happiness.

“Congratulations,” cried the Dr. Mia cried tears of joy and felt back on the bed in relief.

The minute she held the baby in her arms she knew she’d never be able to give it up. The revelation was so clear and so positive she never questioned it again. She sat in her hospital room, propped up on the bed, and held the tiny girl to her breast studying every detail; the miniature toes and fingers, the perfect paper thin fingernails, the fine dark red hair on her head, the button nose.

“I’ll be the best mother I can and never leave you,” she told the baby.

She knew that she’d be able to raise her children with love and care. She had told Anbuis before she left and he had reassured her that he’d be there too, and they could be a family.

“I’ll think I’ll name you Kaleela Lia Koji and your dear brother Tyrell Lon Koji, she said with a smile. She glanced at the basket next to her bed with her other baby in it, fast asleep.

“Are you supposed to be sitting up right now?” came a voice from behind her, Mia’s heart gave a glad leap. She had wondered where he was, he had been gone for hours now. He had left so quickly after the baby was born that she was starting to wonder if something was wrong.

“I’m fine, what’s all that?’ she said noting the large amount of objects in his hand. He was carrying her bag, a large box of candy, a set of teddy bears.

“Stuff for my family, you know,” he said shrugging shyly, “I brung your bag because you’ll be here a little later than we thought…the doctor says that blow to the head has cause some memory failure.”

“Yeah, I remember being hit, all of the guys but I don’t remember anything after you left…at least not clearly enough to make sense. He said I might never gain some of those memories back. It doesn’t matter much though, I have what it’s important,” she said glancing at her children again.

Anubis then realized he should have been there. Again he thought of how extraordinarily brave she was. He had a flash of memory then, an image of Belarus trying to hurt Mia. His heart kicked in his chest. If he had arrived a few seconds later, she would have been under full control of the Dynasty and they would have won. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

She was all right, and the better thing was, was the fact that she wouldn’t remember how he raped her and anything else that was troubling her. If those weren’t his children it didn’t matter, they would be raised as his. She was his and now they were too. He’d protect them to the end that’s all that matter.

That’s it…I’m done. If you like it let me know, have another other comments…questions…even If you hated it…but do it in a civilized manner…flames will not be tolerated. If you want me to continue and write a 2nd part let me know too.
