Chapter 1: Elahe’s Dream

Jade Uchuujin, the Kaseijin was laying deep in the ground. His lower lip covered in dry blood. His hands were tied securely behind his back. This was the last draw. He would have his revenge against these horrible humans. They were prejudice against his whole race! The race of the planet Jade couldn’t stand it anymore. Rather than kill him, they tortured him. Beating him, forcing him into hard labour. If only he weren’t the only Kaseijin around, then these humans would have another thing coming. He would have allies, ones to help him.

The worst part was knowing that he wasn’t so different from the humans after all, they spoke the same language, ate the same type of food, the only major difference was how advanced the Kaseijin were. Jade’s space craft had crashed, not too far from where he was now but the humans’ technology was so far behind that of Kasei that there was no hope of him flying for a long time. Also, Kaseijin lived many times the years of humans, here they lived only to the age of eighty, rarely more, and the Kaseijin lived to the years of 2000. It was strange. Both species even looked the same. There was no way of identifying him as another species except the colour of his hair. Also, the texture of Kaseijin hair was much softer, easier to handle as well. Jade had the hair of the sky, which gave him the gift of flight, I will not tell you now however, how he uses his gifts. With the gift of the sky, your hair would be many different shades of blue, the blue of the ocean, the blue of the sky on many different weather days, the blue of the clearest of lakes. There was also his strange eyes, they were the colour of gold. Many times had he had to hide his eyes under his long bangs to keep from frightening the humans.

But now, they had gone too far, throwing him in the pit like this. With all the rotting bodies from the plague. He would not put up with these human’s inconsiderate nature at all. It was time to resort to desperate measures....

500 years later in a high school where five previous world savers attend....

Ryo Sanada sat in his seat, tapping his pencil repeatedly against his open math text book. He was bored. This was the third time that his teacher was explaining the same thing. He was so tired of this boring life. He was just shaking to do something important for once! He found himself actually wishing that Talpa would come back to life so that the Ronin Warriors, Sage of Halo, Kento of Hardrock, Cye of Torrent and Rowen of Strata would have a purpose again. Now sitting in the immensely uncomfortable school chairs, he felt worthless.

His once adventure filled life was gone and over. Never to be heard from again. No matter how much he tried, he couldn’t find anyway to actually spice his life up at all. He’d dated a variety of different high-school girls but found that none was what he wanted. He found himself being drawn other ways instead. He found no interest in very many girls and the ones he felt he actually did like turned out to be too different for him to deal with, they were strange!

But he didn’t want to think about that right now. Maybe he should try and do this math stuff, yeah that sounded good. Getting his mind off of his latest obsession, Elahe. Somehow, she actually seemed different from the rest. Like maybe she wasn’t strange. Maybe she wasn’t hiding anything from the world like the rest had been. So much for that idea. All the girls Ryo liked were strange. Everyone Ryo liked was strange, his best friends just happened to be undercover super heroes that had saved the world on numerous occasions and the other was a Siberian tiger! But having a normal life would be even more boring than this!

He glanced up at the clock. Only five minutes till the bell was to ring. Remembering that, he closed his text book, put the scattered pencils and pens on his desk back into his brand new red pencil case and zipped it up. Only three minutes left. Three minutes to have to deal with the torture of having a beautiful girl like Elahe sitting right in front of him, with her silky red hair flowing down her shoulders... No Ryo bad thoughts bad thoughts! Although he tried to pull his thoughts away from her, his gaze kept going back to her, with her glimmering white teeth and her... Ryo No! Deep brown eyes that seemed to have... One minute only one minute left! C’mon Ryo focus! Focus! No end and how she was almost as tall as him and how they could....

RRRRRIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGG!!!!!!

Ryo sighed contentedly as he grabbed his stuff, shoved it into his bag and tried to run out of the classroom when..... he felt someone latch onto him. He turned to meet beautiful brown eyes and a flirtatious grin. Elahe, oh god no, what was going to happen this time?

“Ryo, I need to talk to you about something, can I?” she asked in a sugar sweet voice, it melted the icy gaze that he tried to push her away with. He nodded slightly. She smiled wider and led him out into the school’s soccer field, the place where Ryo spent most of his time.

“So....” Ryo began. He looked over to the girl that he was accompanied by. She smiles in return. He had no idea what he was in for, no idea at all.

“Ryo, before I can tell you the important news, I have to tell you one thing first, now don’t get all scared or grossed out or all psychotic when I tell you ok?” Ryo nodded. What is she talking about? Ryo thought to himself, waiting for her to go on.

“Ok, well, I’m a dreamer, a psychic dreamer, I see visions while I sleep. I had one in particular about you and your friends, Rowen, Kento, Cye and Sage, I know what you are so don’t try and deny it. You all together and a white tiger are the Ronin Warriors. I know of your battles with Talpa and the warlords. I also know of your little crush on me. Don’t deny it, I know.” she said waving a hand in front of his face. “I also know that sometime in the near future, I will be joining you in a battle against a new enemy. Who it is, I don’t know because dreams are not always clear. I don’t know anything more except that we have to stop him. It’s vital to the world’s future. We have to stop him if we want to have a future...” her joyous voice faded into one much more depressed and saddened as if her dream had already come true.

“Elahe, it’s ok, the guys, White Blaze and I can help you. You can help us. What was it you said about joining us?”

“Well, every time I have the dream, I wake up in an armour. It’s a very nice one actually, like a ancestral samurai armour. In my dream I can hear myself calling : Armour of Desolate ice, dao magokor!” suddenly there were tiny little cherry blossoms that surrounded Elahe’s now glowing form. They lingered there a while as Ryo stared in shock. Neither him or the other guys had ever transformed like that. As the blossoms cleared, Elahe’s shining armour was brought into view. It was a silvery, light blue in colour with snowy white highlights in certain spots, although the armour was beautiful, it made Ryo feel and extreme amount of frigid cold around him. Even if it was summer. The icy chill almost made him want to transform into his own armour, just for the sake of getting warm again.

She looked at him from inside her helmet’s face mask. A grin set upon her face. She pulled her matching swords from their scabbards. The swords actually did match the armour perfectly, the handles were the silvery blue, the blades were the icy glittering white. All in all, it was one of the most beautiful sights Ryo had ever seen, except for when Elahe was out of armour.

Again she smiled, then powered down to the clothes that were formerly worn. “So there Ryo, I told you that I was a Ronin.”

“Having an armour does not make you a Ronin.” He said plainly, not at all meaning to dash any hopes of hers. She looked at him wonderingly. A slight frown set upon her features. “You have to have compassion, the will to give up your life so that your allies can live. The will to die if you had to so that your side won. All of us have it, Elahe, you must prove yourself worthy of the title of a Ronin Warrior.”

“And I will.” Elahe stated stubbornly, glaring at Ryo. He really hadn’t meant to dismiss anything that she had hoped. He was meaning just to inform her of the strength, the courage and the compassion that a Ronin must have, it was not a question of who had armour and who didn’t, it was the question of who could use it in the right way.

Ryo started to walk away, he had a tonne of homework and he was tired of dealing with this girl, the one he liked who seemed to think that she could just show up with some dream, trying to upset his quiet new life, the one he’d been cursing earlier. With that sudden realisation, Ryo turned to face Elahe again.

“Wait,” he said, “Can you tell me where the new threat is?”

Elahe smiled, nodded her head only once, then joined his side, telling him more of the dream she had experienced.
