Dragon Wars
Chapter 2

"Hey warlord, did you hear me?" Kento shouted again.
The warlord grinned as he slowly turned around, "I heard you Kento of Hardrock."
"So you've heard of us," Rowen stated.
"I've heard of a group of teenage boys that think they've destroyed the evil Dynasty," the Warlord answered coldly.
"You mean Talpa's not dead!" Kento said awestruck.
"You've got it right, blubberboy."
"Hey!" Kento shouted in anger starting to move forward to show the warlord how wrong he was.
Ryo held him back, "Come on Kento, you know that's what he wants you to do."
"Who are you?" Sage questioned, ignoring Kento's struggling against Ryo's hold.
"I am Kazul, of the armor Horror. I was sent to destroy this city, but since you've shown up, maybe I can have some fun."
Niccole watching from a few feet away was surprised to know she understood every word said, even though they spoke fluent Japanese. Niccole frowned suspiciously.
"What the heck?" she mumbled to herself
She went back to watching the beginning of the battle silently praying that one of the hunters would show up and help. Not that she minded fighting by herself, but she had an image to maintain and showing her power would not be good for it.
"Why do they always want to do it the hard way?" Ryo sighed as they quickly changed into their sub armor, shedding their street clothes.
Niccole blinked in surprise, 'Ummmm.....'
"Oh well, I guess I'll never know, Ronin Warriors to arms!" Ryo shouted.
"ARMOR OF WILDFIRE!"
"ARMOR OF HALO!"
"ARMOR OF STRATA!"
"ARMOR OF HARDROCK!"
"ARMOR OF TORRENT!"
"DOW CHI!"
The silken cloths flew up, transforming the Ronin's into their armor. Several humans had left the store, including Niccole's family, stood stupefied at the sight of five armored warriors facing off with another armored warrior.
Niccole pondered yet again the sight of these warriors, 'Where have I seen them before?' she questioned to herself, knowing that she wouldn't get an answer.
'Eternal Dragon are you trying to tell me something? It would be easier to just tell me ya' know.'
She put the thought away for later as the warlord pulled his no-Datchi from his back. Ryo charged first with both katana's help high. The warlord slid to the side missing Ryo's charge and slashed Ryo's back with a backwards strike his Datchi. Ryo fell to the ground in pain.
"Ryo!" the remanding warriors shouted in unison.
The warlord again chuckled slightly amused, "Oh, did he mean something to you?"
The warlord slammed his sword into Ryo again causing him to fall into unconsciousness. He then flipped the wounded warrior up in the air, and as he came falling down the warlord called his sure-kill.
"FIRES OF THE COSMOS!"
The attack seared into Ryo's motionless body as it plummeted to the earth. His body shook violently when it landed, but was silenced as the warlord leaned his foot onto the injured warrior.
"Stop it!" Kento screamed along with Sai, both began to charge Kazul.
Both were thrown back when Kazul held up his free hand. The Ronin's were then promptly encased in a black bubble, separating them from Ryo's aide.
"If you think this is going to hold us, you're wrong," Sage yelled at Kazul.
"THUNDER BOLT CUT!"
"ARROW SHOCK WAVE!" Rowen called adding to Sage's attack.
The two powers bounced off the walls and hit Rowen and Sage hard. Both fell back in pain.
Niccole frowned recognizing the same defense that Kazul had used on her. She stored it away for later sensing that she would soon have to step in and reveal herself. Niccole smirked. That was her favorite part.
"My turn," Kento called angry at the warlord.
"IRON ROCK CRUSHER!"
Sai, the only one not to call on his powers, watched silently as Kento was thrown back by his own attack. Sai ran over to his injured comrades helping then to sit up.
Kazul laughed sinisterly, "As you might of realized my power bubble reflects your own powers back at you."
Ryo groaned as he felt his friends pain. He then struggled to get up, Kazul pushed him back down again.
"Time to end this, Ryo of the Wildfire," Kazul said as he turned Ryo over and prepared to run him through with his sword.
"Ryo!" his friends yelled helpless to aid their friend.
"Hey, ugly!" a female voice said out of nowhere, startling Kazul from killing Ryo.
Kazul looked around, and spotted Niccole, who all this time went unnoticed by Kazul. Niccole smirked and posed with one hand on her hip.
"Yep, I'm talking to you. Did you know its rude to leave me hanging and go fight somebody else?" Niccole spoke in fluent Japanese.
She sighed dramatically, "That means I get to play with ya' for a little bit!"
'How the heck do I know Japanese? At least I think its Japanese, I could be wrong,' she thought to herself, but she never stopped walking over to Kazul.
"Still here are you? I thought you would have run away by now," Kazul answered.
"And miss all of the fun? No way! Why don't you leave him alone and come fight me!"
Kazul laughed as he left Ryo in a pile of broken rumble. The Ronin of Fire was deathly still.
"Why not? Their not going anywhere," the warlord stated with a grin coming forward to meet Niccole.
"What the heck is going on?" Sage questioned as he saw a teenage American walk up to the warlord without any fear.
"Huh?" questioned Kento as he listened to what she said, "And she speaks Japanese, how lucky for her!"
"Not lucky," Sai said quietly as he pointed towards Kazul who evidently had taken her bait.
"Like, I said earlier, I will die if it means stopping you and Talpa. I will protect these people and these warriors," Niccole said pointing to Ryo.
"Foolish mortal, what do you know of Talpa?" Kazul said as he walked closer to the girl.
"I know what I need to know," she said loudly as she remembered the informant who had happened along their clan not to long ago. He had plenty of interesting information on the demon attack on Toyama, Japan.
"Talpa, the Emperor of the Nether Realm, came to Earth to take over mankind. With his influenced warlords he attacked Toyama, Japan in his attempt to take over the Earth for his own dark purposes. Five warriors stood in his way. They were Ryo of Wildfire, Sage of Halo, Kento of Hardrock, Sai of the Torrent, Rowen of Strata. Talpa lost his battle against the Ronin Warriors, as you know them."
Kazul stood in shock as this young girl recited information few mortals knew. The entrapped Ronin's were as surprised as Kazul.
"How did she know that?" Rowen pondered out loud.
The rest just shrugged.
Niccole just smiled at their surprised faces and pulled her two hidden knives from there sheaths in her boots. Kazul snarled at the young girl. She would die today!
"You may know about the Dynasty, but you won't live to see another day!"
"FIRES OF THE COSMOS!" the warlord said with power calling upon his sword's energy.
Niccole saw the energy coming towards her and decided to chance it. She called upon spare energy she hadn't been forced to use in a long time to build a wall of fire that deflected his power with ease.
"What the-!" Kazul said in shock.
"You will hurt no more innocents," Niccole said coldly.
A golden globe appeared in her hand, transforming her into sub armor dull silver and sapphire blue in color. Niccole blinked looking down at herself in surprise. And here she thought that she'd have to use her hunter powers. Oh well, might as well see what this stuff can do.
"Huh, where did this come from?" Niccole asked outloud, switching to English.
Ryo groaned in pain as he struggled against unconsciousness. Niccole diverted her attention to the ailing Ryo then to the encased Ronins.
'I'm going to have to find a way to release them so Wildfire can be healed with the Halo armor,' she said to herself
Kazul, noticing Niccole's distraction, rammed her into the brick walls of the grocery store. The wall came apart, landing hard onto the young girl.
"Nooo-!" the Ronin's screamed knowing now Ryo was unprotected.
The warlord laughing at the Ronin's dismay said, "Don't worry about your friend, first I've got to destroy the innocents."
Kazul began to walk slowly towards the gathering of humans. He picked out one in particular, a blonde haired adult carrying a baby and had a whimpering child wrapped around her leg. Kazul raised his Datchi and prepared to run the woman through.
"Mom, watch it!" Niccole screamed as she attacked Kazul with a sharp side kick.
The power of her kick sent Kazul flying into several parked cars. Niccole stood panting hard, trying to get her bearings. When she did Niccole growled and picked up one of the fallen pieces of wall that was still connected with mortar. Niccole threw it hard using all of her strength. Kazul ducked underneath the flying wall and smirked.
"HAHAHAHA! So that's your weakness, your family! Don't worry after I'm done killing you, they'll be next!" said the warlord pulling himself up from the ground.
Niccole's eyes lit up in fury as anger rolled through her body, banishing every ache from her soul.
"Nobody threatens my family!" she said in cold hatred.
"Feel the wrath of the Dragon! ARMOR OF THE DRAGON, TAO KON!"
Energy filled her body as she grasped her left shoulder with her right hand. Red fire and green lightning played in her upturned left palm. Niccole's eyes widened at the sight of the emerald and blue armor. She turned her hand again as the silken clothes formed above her head. They dissipated into silver snow flurries, forming the armor around her body. Niccole stood tall as she drew her twin katanas from their sheaths over each shoulder.
The Ronin's stood awestruck at the sight of her armor. The body part looked similar to the Armor of Cruelty, except the colors were different. A helmet similar to Ryo's formed over her head, identical in every way, except it was blue in color.
"Well, that's never happened before!" Kento joked.
"Your armor will not save you!" Kazul screamed.
"We shall see Demon. DRAGON BLADES CUT!" Niccole screamed, calling upon her power.
"I will return to kill you and all you love!" Kazul yelled in pain as he was swept away by the power of her attack.
Niccole panted hard as she formed a cross in the air and muttered some words under her breath. She looked up her eyes no longer filled with anger. She turned around and walked over to the trapped Ronins.
"Need some help?" she questioned them in Japanese.
They nodded awestruck. Niccole nodded back as she called upon her strength and the armor's strength to break the bubble.
"DRAGON BLADES CUT!" she called striking the bubble, blowing it up in the process.
"Thanks," mumbled Kento as they raced to their fallen comrade.
"Niccole?" a familiar voice asked from behind.
Niccole turned around as she banished her face guard. Sorrow was in every line in her face as she confronted her family.
"Mom," she said in relief.
"Niccole."
"I have to go now, you know that. My cover is blown and the demons will come after you. I'm sorry about leaving you."
"Nonsense, you aren't to fault for your life. Do not worry about anything okay we'll be fine."
"I'll ask them to look after you all, okay?"
Her mother nodded and they hugged briefly, both knowing it would be their last. Cassandra did the same followed by their baby sister, Olivia.
"I can't stay here, Mom, he'll be back to destroy you all if I do," she said mournfully.
"I know," was all her Mother said as they all hugged her again.
"Where will you go?" her mother asked.
"Don't know," Niccole answered, " I'll have to change my name too. I promise to write though," she joked.
~And don't worry about anything over here. My friends will protect you from all harm.~
Her mother nodded understanding her hidden message. Niccole turned slightly as she heard the Ronins approach her from behind.
"You can come with us," a voice said from behind.
Niccole turned around to see Ryo propped up against Kento. She smiled, then frowned.
"I can't right now. There is to much I don't know. I have to think about my future before I chose my path," she said, " don't worry what ever path I chose, it will be for the side of good," she continued trying to make a joke.
"Besides," she winked, "you'll be better without me. Ja!"
Sage frowned, "I disagree..."
"Well, I've got to go," she said cutting him off as her face guard returned.
With that she disappeared in a brilliant blue flame. The Ronins soon followed, leaving a small family to their grief.

Well, I finished this chapter a lot sooner than I thought I would. *grins* Anyways, I thank all the people who have supported these stories. And I promise I'll get the next chapter of Demon Lord out soon. Ja!
