What are you doing, Duo? Why are you doing this to me? You can't keep
hiding from me... I know that you're upset. It's about that night. You
poured you heart and soul out to me and all I could do was stare at you like
Wing Zero had been painted pink. I couldn't return your feelings. I was too
shocked to say those words that you wanted to hear... But that was a month
ago! I didn't reject you! I can say them now!! Please, just give me a
chance. You can't shut me out forever.

You must be upset because you even have the other guys covering for you. I
never thought that I would see the day where they actually shielded you from
me. I guess that they think you need protecting. They must know how badly
I've hurt you, but I want to fix it! Why won't you let me fix it? I know
why... It's because you don't know that I want to fix it. You think I hate
you... But you won't let me make it right!

And the others... I am going to KILL the next one of them who hides you
from me. I know you're hiding out in one of Quatre's estates with them. Omae
o korosu!

I've staked the place out and am currently hiding under your window. Do
you sense that I am here? Do you care? Are you here? Wait! A slight rustle
of your bedroom curtains. A shadow. You are here! I've got you now!!!

//They said it wasn't you,//
//But I saw you peep through your window,//

I begin to climb the trellis when a voice stops me.

"What the hell do you think you are doing, Yuy?" Damn. It's Wufei...
Surprisingly, for all that you and he seem to hate each other, he is being
the most protective of you. I REALLY don't want to deal with him right now.
I'd kill him, but it would be a waste of time. Instead, I ignore him.

"I asked what you are doing here..." Wufei repeated, turning a
disapproving and appraising stare on me. I jump off of the trellis and turn
to face him with a cold glare.

"I came to see Duo," I answer in a flat, monotone.

"Well, I am afraid that Maxwell isn't taking visitors at the moment. Go
home, Yuy!"

With that, he turns and leaves me standing in a flower-bed. I ignore his
command and turn my attention back to your window...

As quickly as your image appeared in the window, it disappeared again,
leaving a billowing curtain in your wake. Sighing, I decide to pause in my
reconnaissance mission and return home. I would find another means of
contacting you, or die trying.

//They said you were not home//

//And I saw you walk in your door//

Quatre this time. Damn him! He picked up the phone when I called. He
didn't even seem surprised that I was the caller. Before I could even ask
for you, he told me that you weren't there. I heard the little catch in his
voice as he made this admission. Quatre never was a very good liar.

But I played along with his little game and merely asked when you would be
returning. He said he didn't know. What he really didn't know was that I had
been following you. All I wanted was a chance to explain myself. I just
wanted to get you alone so that I could finally tell you how I felt. It
appears that fate had other plans and when I finally spotted you, my heart
--the one that I am just realizing that I have--nearly stopped.

Who is he, Duo? Who is he??? I would really hate to have to kill someone
especially out of jealousy. If I had had my gun right now, there would be
nothing left of that guy! Well, nothing identifiable, anyway...

He looks like someone you'd like. Tall, blonde, good looking. Cheerful.
Someone completely opposite from me in personality. And he's definitely
interested in you. I WANT MY GUN.

I saw the two of you strolling together through a park, stopping to sit on
a bench, laughing happily together. For every minute that I saw you
together, I wanted to put another bullet in him. Why Duo? How could you say
that you love me then turn around and be with some one else?

Easy. You don't know that I love you.

//And I'll forgive the lies that I//
//Heard before when you gave me no reply.//

What happened to the Duo Maxwell that I used to know. You remember... you
run, you hide, but you never lie? Well you are lying, Duo. You are lying to
yourself and to me. You are lying to the world and having our friends lie to
protect you. But I'm willing to forgive all of that, if you will just see
me, hear me, talk to me.

You were the one who taught me how to live. You made me feel. You made me
understand that I have a heart and am capable of love. You gave me the gift
of realization and you don't even know it. And now, all I want to do, is
give you the gift of my love. Yes-LOVE! I can say the word now, I know what
it means, and I know I love you. What do I have to do to get through to you?
What will make you see?

(flashback)
