4 My Experience in off-campus of TCS selection process


     Hello Friends....

             First of all I am very glad to inform you about my selection in Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS), which is Asia's Largest Global Software & Services Company. I have been appointed as "Assistant Systems Engineer". My training is at Trivandrum starting from 13th February. So my new life is about to begin and I am very eager to experience this Golden moment.

             Now let's share the process from which I had to pass to be a TCSer. Actually its not so much tough, but at a same time, its not so much easy too. So if you get a chance in such off-campus interview, not for TCS, but for any other company, you must be prepared with some pre-plans and proper preparations.

             In common of such off-campus interview, there are 2 or 3 rounds for selection. First round is common for all, that is Written Test. Mostly this test for freshers is on the bases to check the logic and language knowledge (English) of those who are going to appear for it. So in most of the companies the question paper of such test contains Logical Questions/Puzzles, English Usage (Synonyms, Antonyms, Paragraph formations etc...) and Mathematical Questions. click here to get the list of books for preparing these topics. click here to get complete information about written paper style as well as selection process in TCS.              Second round is Technical Round. Now some companies prefer technical rounds and some companies don't. So it depends on the company, for whom you are going to appear in the selection process. In TCS selection process, Technical round is also there to face. It is nothing but the face to face interview about your technical knowledge related to your field. E.G. if you are computer science student then you might be asked questions from C, C++, Java, DBMS, Data Structures etc. You must be technically sound to pass this interview because the interviewer may ask any question regarding to your field.              Now Third and final round is HR Round which is must in all companies. Now when you enter to this round, its clear that your logic is very good as well as your technical knowledge is also nice. So what is new in this round. Actually this round is to check your personality and your behavior, your way to talk and your etiquettes. You might be asked very basic questions like 'Introduce yourself', 'What are your strengths and weaknesses', 'Why our company should appoint you', 'Where do you find yourself after 5 years in this company' etc. click here to download complete book of such HR Interview questions along with answers. Only one thing to remember is you must give all the answers confidently and without any pressure. Your communication skills should be good enough so that the person sitting in front of you can understand what you want to convey to him. So that's all regarding selection process in TCS or even in any other company.
