Fynsworth Alley: The room is full...so Megan is sitting here with me! And I'll be answering for her! So ask your questions and we'll try to get to as many of you as possible. Thanks for being here...

christa: Hi Megan! Are there plans to reissue Supreme Music Program's 1st cd??
Megan: We'd love to reissue it but we don't have any specific plans right now. We printed just a limited amount because we did it all ourselves.

Erin: What is your favorite song on the new album?
Megan: My favorite songs are 'Take It With Me,' 'Real Emotional Girl,' and 'Lament'... these are my favorites as songs...and not necessarily our version. The songs themselves.

ilovemegan: Do you have any tattoos, Megan?
Megan: I don't have any tattoos...but I like them on other people. I'm too fickle and I'd get tired of it too quickly.

supastah: Did you find the Supreme Music Program or did they find you?
Megan: I met Greg Kuehn the keyboard player through mutual friends. And I wanted to put together a stage show. Greg knew Stuart the guitar player, and then I found Joe through someone else. And that's how our little band came together.

Desiree: If you could invite 5 people (dead or alive) to dinner, who would they be?
M: Bjork, Tom Waits, Yoko Ono, Jimmy Stewart and I'll have to think about the fifth one!!

Lelee: I saw you in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" in 1994. You were fantastic in it! Do you think you'll ever come back to Broadway?
M: I'd love to do another Broadway musical. I don't know what's left revival wise...but maybe there will be something new!

Leelee: I love your selection of songs, 'Ruby's Arms' and 'I Remember' are two of my favorites from your first album. What songs would you like to cover in the future?
M: i don't know exactly...but I'd love some ideas. But that's the trick...finding great songs like these. It's a challenge because we want to find really special songs. And they are kinda few and far between. I think all the songs we recorded are really cool in their own right.

LLofMI: What actor or actress would you most like to work with?
M: I'd like to do something with Catherine Keener.

meg722: Since you're such a great judge of books (House of sand and Fog was awesome) what books have you been reading recently?
M: I'm reading THE LOVELY BONES...and it's great. And recently I read LOOK AT ME...by Jennifer Egan (I think). And a book of short stories by Ron Carlson called AT THE JIM BRIDGER.

Theatre_Bug_05: Megan, what is your middle name?
M: I don't have one. :-)

meg722: What do you think it was that they threw off the bridge in "Ode to Billy Joe"?
M: I think it's a baby that they had and they were too young. But Bobby Gentry says it's not! She's very cryptic about it.

franmackin: Megan, you were incredible on the Letterman Show -- BUT I almost didn't watch because you said you couldn't sing -- obviously you were kidding but has your humor always been so self-deprecating and where does this come from? When will you be appearing live in NYC??
M: I'm signing tomorrow...but not singing...at Tower Records... 5pm-7pm. But when David Letterman asked me if I consider myself to be more of an actress or a singer, I just felt like it would be stupid to really answer it because either way you sound like a moron!

Colleen: I heard you and Amy Brenneman sang at an affair! Was that fun?
M: I don't think that we did...but we were in a singing performance class together in LA. It's the only thing I've ever done like that. And it was really great because you just pick whatever song you want to sing and then you just stand up and do it in whatever way you want to do it.

swampdonkey: Will you continue to do projects like "Everything Put Together"? That was hard to watch but really haunting.
M: I hope so. The director of that movie, Marc Forster, is amazing. And we would like to work together again. And he directed Monster's Ball, which was incredible. [speaking again about Everything Put Together] That movie was shot in 2 weeks with no money on digital video...then transferred to film. And it was all natural lighting...except a couple times when they were going for an effect.

supastah: Megan, how is your new album different from your last album??
M: It's a little more laid back and a little more lo-fi and less theatrical. There is a little more rock influence.

Colleen: Where are you originally from?
M: Oklahoma City, OK
