Hello DeRuyver clan,

This is my brief life story. I was born December 19, 1974. As for my life, it usually revolves around work, school, drinking beer, fishing, and my fiance Tammy. I graduated from Plainwell High School in Michigan in 1993. While at Plainwell, I was a member of the Varsity Swim Team, and played the trombone in the marching band. I ventured to Michigan Technological University (MTU), where I obtained my B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1998. This school is located in the cold U.P. (Upper Peninsula) of Michigan where winter lasts eight months. The only activities available to students up there was playing in the snow and drinking beer.

So, now I live in the much warmer climate of Ann Arbor, Michigan where I am attending the University of Michigan in pursuit of my M.S. in structural Engineering. As for my future, I hope to be a licensed professional engineer within five years, designing bridges in either southern Michigan or Minnesota. Finally, I'll retire when I'm fifty and open a coffee shop as a retirement hobby.

As far as fun and adventure goes, I'll do just about anything that gets me outside, especially fishing and golfing with my brother Chris, who also lives in Ann Arbor. Well, that's been chapter one of my thrill a minute ride of a life, and I hope everyone in the DeRuyver clan enjoyed it.
