Forget about storing the luggage at the luggage keeping of the Termini station - the line must be at least an hour long (and my visit to Rome was not in season) - better try and go straight to the hotel.

It is simpler to buy a ticket to the Palatine Hill and the Colosseum at the Palatine Hill where there is no line of tourists waiting.
Tips to eating in Rome:
Cheap Italian food can be purchased in pizzerias where pizzas are sold by weight.
Chinese restaurants in Rome are cheap and very good.
If you wish to know if an ice cream is good - check the color of Banana ice cream - it should be white and not yellow.
The best ice cream in Rome is *** Giolitti - north of the Pantheon, and a few meters west of the Piazza di Colona.
