Jim Griffith does not get the 1997 award for choosing Elvis Presley. I doubt it was unintentional,
though I am willing to entertain anybody who wants to challenge this decision.
the generalissimo francisco franco trophy
Current winner:
- 1998 to 2004 - Marsha Ferziger-Nagorsky, for choosing Myrna Loy(d. 14 Dec 1993)
This trophy is a traveling honor along with...
the l. ron hubbard cup
Current winner:
- 1998 to 2004 - Marsha Ferziger-Nagorsky, for choosing Myrna Loy(d. 14 Dec 1993)
The Franco is held by the player, not necessarily of the
current game, who unintentionally predicted the death of a
celebrity who's death occurred the longest before the time
the prediction was made. The Hubbard honors the predicted
celebrity who's been dead the longest, period. Winning the
Hubbard presupposes winning both the Elvis and Franco and is
a high honor, since every year you not only have to make an
even bigger mistake than ever to win it, the mistake has to
be at least a whole year bigger. Marsha's 1998 submission of
Myrna Loy was a triple crown winner, and today she still holds
both the Generalissimo Francisco Franco Trophy and the L. Ron
Hubbard Cup.
