Death in the Fields
by Derik Taylor
The pretty pink flowers sway in the wind
The giant grasshopper eats a giraffe under the shade of a tree
A Crog Shaman takes the life from the field.
The darkness over takes the land.
The elephants hear the screams from the clouds.
The pretty white puffy clouds
Once were dreamy rays of light
Shown down from the ball of fire
That burned the eyes and melted the flesh
Of the once lively sparrows and larks
Oh pain, eat my shoes and take me away!
