Deric Bender, a native Rhode Islander, is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where he majored in many area until finally settling on a Theater Performance degree. He is currently performing stand-up all over New England, and was recently a finalist in the 92 PRO-FM contest at Olive's Bar in Providence.
He can also be seen performing with the Speed Of Thought Players (SOTP), a Providence based improvisational comedy troupe.
In May, 2004, Deric was a finalist in the 94 WHJY Comedy Competition held at Lincoln Park. He can also be seen performing at some of the area's hottest comedy spots, such as The Comedy Factory and The Comedy Connection, to name a few.
