:: Fan Submission |
Okay, so you've decided you have some work you'd like SWR to display. Radical. You're gonna need to follow a few simple rules about submitting rules... nothing you can't handle, right?
:: General Rules
.There will be no excessive gore or sexual content in submitted works. Minor exceptions can be made.
.Any and ALL fan submissions go to our Fan Works Manager, Geniushi Yoshi.
:: Artwork Rules
.All artwork must be formatted as a .jpg, .png, or .gif. However, if .bmp is the only option you have open to you, that's fine. But NO OTHER FILE TYPES WILL BE ACCEPTED!.
.All artwork must be 500 kb or less in file size. It can be slightly larger, but not much. Any artwork above 600 kb will not be accepted. Sorry. If your image is still too large in size, try resizing it, or saving it as a different file format.
.If your artwork lacks creativity / effort, it'll probably be declined. However, if it's at least makes someone from SWR laugh, it'll stay. It's rare for us to decline anything, though. We're not tough judges. 'Sides, if we filtered out everything, it wouldn't be much of a FAN site.
.No nudity, you horny bastards. If you get your jollies out of drawing cartoon boobies, you really need to get a new hobby. Honestly. Where do you people come from!?
.Um... OH. OH YEAH! If we find out that you stole the art of another, we'll delete your pic. Because that's just plain wrong, man. You ain't no pimp, dude.
.If you don't want to attach your pic to the email, you can always send a link if you so desire.
:: Fan Literature Rules
.Unless it's important to dialogue / development of character, gross amounts of swearing will cause us to either ask that you make revisions to it, or to revise it. But that's kinda obvious, right?
.We're not gonna pick at every little error, but it's asked that you please carefully proof-read your submissions. And none of your happy-1337-horsecrap. No one wants to read "OMFG d aND TH3n HE SO LIKE CUT HIS LEG ORFFFFF!!!!!110713hdGUPL". Also, no exasperated fight scenes. "AND THEN LINK PULLS BACK HIS SWORD. MARIO CHARGES UP HIS FIRE POWER ATTACK WHILE CROBAT SWOOPS DOWN FROM THE SKY AND PICKS UP MAKAR AS HE LETS LOOSE A SHRILL CRY. BULBASAUR SCREAMS. WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM. :: Animal Crossing Stuff
.We allow submissions of town songs and pattern designs.
.Your work should be your own, really. Of course, there's no real way of us telling if you did it or not, so whatever.
.We have provided a complete palette of the 16 color schemes used in Animal Crossing. Click here, save it, and use the colors to make your design. We've also provided a grid template. Click here, save it, and then use the color palette to fill in the squares with your design. Only this template will be accepted. When submitting a pattern, the image should be in .bmp format. Be sure to include someplace what number color scheme you used, a brief description, and tell us which colors you used in your design. We'll take care of the rest.
