| February 13, 2005-- The theme of the month for Meredith is "talking." She is using so many new real and made-up words, her parents are having a hard time keeping track. She also signs with her hands for different things like "milk" or "night-night." She repeats words after her parents a lot and does a lot of mimicking. She loves trying to put on her clothes, particularly her shoes. Meredith will even grab her mom's shoes and bring them to her. She orders her mom to take off her shoes so that she can try to shove them on. Meredith also loves to go outside. She shrieks with delight and grabs her coat when there is any suggestion of going outside. She also waves goodbye to everything, her toys, the room, her parents, the cat. Meredith is learning about kissing. She likes getting a kiss, but she also likes kissing her stuffed animals and making other people kiss them. Meredith even shared her sippy cup with her stuffed monkey while the two of them were listening to her dad read a book. |
