Tuesday, January 11, 2005, Nathan Danylczuk, my cousin, passed away at the very young age of 22. I cannot explain the loss I feel in words. He was a great guy, and I will never forget him. He was my brother, and my best friend. I only wish he could have met all of you who are reading this, who had not met him. He touched the lives of so many people. He was very intelligent, and also had a great sense of humor. For just a taste, see what he wrote in my guest book. He taught me so many things, and now I can never repay him. It happened so suddenly, he was just on his way to university. I had talked to him just the day before. We had plans on making this site really good, he was going to help me. I plan to put many things up for him, many things from his own site he had a few years ago. I will add some of his humor, as well as his intelligence. I hope you will all enjoy it. |

Please search his name in a search engine, like Yahoo, and you will get a glimpse of who Nathan was. The university he attended, the University of Saskatchewan, is also holding a bursary in his name. If you would like to make a donation, please e-mail me. There was also an article for him in the newspaper. He will be missed, but never forgotten. |

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend Nathan's service, but here is what I asked my Mother to read out for me. |

Tuesday morning, we all lost someone very special. It was so sudden; it happened so unexpectedly that none of us say it coming, and none of us were given a chance to give a proper goodbye. I know that all of us, if given the chance, would want to talk with Nathan one last time. Maybe to tell him how much we love him, how important he is to us, what a great friend he is, or how much we are going to miss him. He has been a big part of us in many ways, and he will always remain in our hearts. We should feel honoured to have know such a great person. He was many things to many people, but to me he was not only my cousin, he was my brother, and he was my best friend. He was no ordinary person. Nathan stood up for what he believed in, while respecting what others had to say. There is no doubt that he has helped me become who I am today, and it would not surprise me if he has had as much of an impact on all of you. I cannot describe this loss in words, but he once told me to live life to the fullest, and I know that is exactly what he did. While we wish none of this had ever happened, we should be grateful that he went happily and did not suffer. Nathan is not a small loss by any means, and we will all have to depend on each other so we can get through this together. We must all remember the great times we had with him, and there were many great times. I believe he has made a place for himself in every one of our hearts, and that place will always be there. He loved us all, and we will never forget him. |
