Finding The Truth On Three For Silence Three For Silence, the name of a young, new, screamo, rock, post-hardcore Brockville band, comes from the idea that the strongest of human emotions are portrayed through silence. Initially, the bands name was Through Silence and evolved quickly and by accident to its present form. The band itself also evolved through, three drummers, three guitarists, and two bass players. Steve, Ryan and Dan have each been playing for about five years, while Nick, the only original member, has only been playing guitar for about a year. Very busy these days with shows and a new CD, Dan attests that, we are very happy with our current line up and today are the most productive weve been since the band started. Of the four typical teenagers, ranging from fifteen to seventeen, three grew up going to the same small school and Nick and Dan are brothers. Needless to say, they all know each other quite well. The camaraderie comes through vividly at the shows and it is obvious that these guys have not made the critical error of taking themselves too seriously: We play music that we want to hear and feel comfortable with playing. If we cant seem to agree on something, usually we will come to some sort of compromise, but we can usually solve those sort of issues pretty quickly. Some humor can found in song names which rarely have something to do with the actual lyrics. In fact, it seems the bands only real conviction is to have a good time: We like to listen to alternative music and play alternative music because its fun to do. We write our music because it is fun and we enjoy listening to it, and in the process we hope that others enjoy listening to it for what it is. When playing shows in Brockville, the band enjoys most playing with friends Days Ransom and Pysiedius as they relate best to their types of music. Three For Silence is not letting up at all and their plans for the near future are to, keep on progressing, writing new material, and spread the music to as many ears as possible. Having recently finished recording their first EP titled, The Truth Will Never Find Us Here, they will likely be promoting that by playing as many shows as possible both locally and out of town. The CD costs $7 and is available at their shows. They also just finished recording a song at a professional studio in Brighton, Ontario to go on a compilation distributed through music stores and are planning on touring this summer to support that. I think that we are still too young to know exactly what great things this band is capable of, and the only way we are going to find out is if we keep at it. www.threeforsilence.com www.myspace.com/threeforsilence www.purevolume.com/threeforsilence threeforsilence@hotmail.com
