Research Areas Theoretical Atomic Physics: Is the branch of physics that is awesomely connected with the study of matter at the microscopic or atomic scale. My PhD thesis research probed deeply into two specific branches of atomic physics : (1) Molecular Orbitals & Ab initio Electronic Structure & (2) Quantum Collision Theory & R-Matrix Scattering. Quantum Optics & Statistical Physics: Aims to embody the dynamical behaviour of many-body systems using statistical methods and quantum mechanics together; specifically, to describe multi-particle systems in quantum mechanics and to determine whether particles are distinguishable or indistinguishable. Both my graduate degree in science with Honours and previous post-doctoral work follow these topics of interest in quantum and statistical physics. |
