In the pilots seat, Dita is usually an very skilled pilot, unless of course she is distracted (which is not a rare occurrence).  Onboard the Nirvana she usually is blissfully following Hibiki around calling him Ujujien-san (Mr. Alien).  Dita is always a little ditzy, but her kindness and caring often makes her the life of the ship, raising everyone's spirits in times of despair.  She joined the Pirate crew much the same as most of the other crew.  Due to the vanity of higher class citizens on Mejeiru taking more resources to make their own lives more lavish, which caused her housing unit to be shut down.

Hibiki grew up as a third class citizen on the Taraaku, restrained to some of the lowest jobs on the planet.  His job was as a mechanic, but he knew that he was meant for something better.  Unfortunately getting blasted into space onboard a space ship was not in the plan, then getting attacked by the Mejeiru'en pirates didn't help things, or maybe it did.  Onboard the Nirvana he and the other prisoners (Bart and Duero) eventually gain the trust of the pirates and become integral parts of the crew.  Onboard the Nirvana Hibiki usually pilots his VanGuard, which he calls I-Bo (Partner), and helps to defeat the enemies that often get in the ships way.  Now if he could only get Dita to quit bugging him.

Meia is the the chief commander of the Dread's, and she is VERY good at it.  She is also very private about her past and her feelings.  She joined the Pirate crew due to past events in her family, her life had become that of an outcast.  After joining the Pirate crew she became very good at the life of a pirate.  Despite her past she is really a good person, just don't tell her that.

Jura is the secondary commander of the Dread squadron.  Jura is VERY self absorbed, and self conscious of her looks.  Easily attracted to things that she perceives as cool (kakawe) or pretty.  When she sees Dita's VanDread transformation she becomes obsessed with seeing her perfect VanDread, she gets quite a surprise when she finally gets the chance.

Barnette is one of the more experienced and skilled Dread pilot's, and one of the more serious members of the crew.  She is fairly kind, but as with a fair part of the crew has a problem with the men being part of the crew.  And especially with Hibiki helping to fight.  She has a special hobby with collecting old firearms such as hand guns and machine guns.

Gascogne runs the ships "Register", it is basically the ships armory and supply station, it loads the Dreads with their required fuel and ammo.  Most of the younger members of the crew are always calling her Gasco, which often has her immediately correcting them to add on the "gne".  While she does not usually directly fight on several occasions she has been the one to save the day.

Magno is basically the captain of the Nirvana, she chose and organized the entire crew.  She is rarely if ever called by her name, most of the crew refers to her as Oka-shirda (Boss).  She cares deeply for all members of the crew, and often allows them a large amount of leeway in their personalities and activity's when the ship is not in combat.

Before Duero arrived on the Nirvana Paiway was apparently the only Medical Officer onboard the Nirvana, after Duero's induction into the crew she became the assistant medical officer.  She often spends her spare time "Pai-Check"ing the crew of the Nirvana with a special Aura camera, made for her by Parfet.  She is kind but has a major problem with their being men aboard the ship, and she definitely has a problem with Dita's interest in Hibiki.

Tomokazu Seki  関・智一

Bart is the Nirvana's helmsmen, his usual tactic when things get tough, run away very very fast.  Much as Hibiki and Duero he was captured by the Pirates when they attempted to pillage the newly launched Ikazuchi battleship.  Soon after through some smooth talking he became the Nirvanas helmsman.  Bart is usually pretty self-centered and concerned about his position and comfort, being the son of the owner of Taraaku's largest (Perhaps only) "Food" (basically pills) producer might do that.

Duero is the Nirvana's chief Medical Physician, and is often finding many new and interesting things.  He is also one of Taraaku's Elites, and his past is an utter mystery.  When he is not patching up the wounded he is often helping Parfet with her engineering duties and projects.  He is often slightly cryptic but seems to be fairly nice and caring about the well-being of the other crewmembers.

His name explains it all, Rabat is a real Grade A jerk.  Underhanded, sneaky, deceptive, he is all of these.  Fortunately he is not a member of the crew, he appears to be a space trader, dealing in salvaged and or stolen merchandise.  He travels around in his own spacecraft with Buutan, a very skilled if hyperactive ape.  Though he is a pain and a very unpleasant person he is not really an enemy, in-fact he has even helped the Nirvana's crew on an occasion or two, when it suited him.

As near as I can tell Ezra is one of the ships Communications and Sensors officers.  Along with being a member of the Nirvana's crew it is also found out fairly soon that she is also pregnant, something Duero refers to initially as a parasite.  She is very kind and also appears to be friends with Dita, on several occasions they are talking together about Dita's many problems.

Celtic is another member of the bridge crew.  She is almost always seen wearing a giant teddy bear costume, she along with a good part of the rest of the crew don't like the idea of the men having free roam of the ship and this is her way of insulating herself from this threat.  Despite her distaste with the men she appears to be a nice person.

Moyu Arishima  有島・モユ

Misty is the only member of the crew from Earth.  She is also infatuated with Hibiki and is often trying to steal him from Dita, needless to say this generates some conflict.  She is kind but she is also willing to do anything to get Hibiki.  On several occasions she seems to distance herself from the crew, feeling that she is an outsider, but she is often immediately found by another member of the crew and assured that the crew is like a family, and she is a member of it.
