Dedication for Curly
From Earth we come and do return
So much to see and do and learn
And one was chosen from the few
To stand beside those that he knew
Come rain or shine upon the road
This was his path to walk alone
To fly by night and burn the day
In blood and oil, it was his way
But, listen close, both young and old
And you shall hear the secret told:
"We'll meet again, some day, some how
I ride the stars above you now"
starless

Poems for the Ritual 16th Sept 2006
Bikers' Prayer
Did you ride like the Devil?
Did you scream through the sky?
'Cross the dale and the hillside
With that old smokin' high?
Did you know of the power
Those dark nights on the road
Just the fire in your heartbeat
And the stars so alone?
Did you count every second
By the friends that you made?
And that black biker-magick
Formed the trail that you blazed
One we knew took this pathway
Born to bike, born to roam
Warm and bright as the sunlight
May he always find home
Blessed be
starless

Curly's Bike
To the Gods of the North
I did pledge my dark steed
Twisted metal and wire
And the oil it did bleed
To the Gods of the East
As your knight on the road
By the grain and the vine
I returned safely home
To the Gods of the South
This my passion, my fire
Not the ice nor the rain
Ever quell the desire
To the Gods of the West
Not a tear in my eye
For you will still be mine
Chariot of the sky
starless
