| Everyone knows that the internet, no matter how well is marketed, quickly becomes boring, as all you are doing in effect is reading page after page of text. How can it become a little more exciting? The answer is.... online games! The Greatest Game in History offers a few of the very best here. Good. The record is 592.5, see if you can beat that (no pun intended). See how far you can hit a penguin with a bat (steroids version) You take the guise of a polar bear whose on steroids, so when a penguin fall from the cliff above you, you attempt to hit and it flies for twice the length. Got that? Good. Remember, Polar Bears don't take drugs tests. Roberto Baggio Free Kick This has to be the ultimate online football game. Taken from the official Robby Baggio website, you have full control over hitting a free kick past suspicously wooden defenders and an unfeasibly good goalkeeper. You can curl it, blast it, sky it, roll it to the path of a waiting striker, and more often that not, you miss, but don't worry, as Roberto himself is on hand to pass on his often humourous tips and advice. Examples include "You are a little inattentive today" "Oh! You deserved that goal!" or "Study the goalkeepers moves, no one is invincible" Sheep Shooting As the name suggests, the purpose of this game is to blast to pieces as many cartoon sheep you can with the allocated amount of bullets. We'd like to point out that only experienced stunt sheep took part in the making of this game. Egg John Prescot Remember when that country side protestor threw an egg at MP John "two jags" Prescott, and he promptly turned round and hooked him? Relive that rather bizarre moment here. Try to pelt him with 10 eggs before he clobbers you. Horse Racing An online version of the classic fairground game. You place a bet on a mechanical horse race and more often than not, your horse will lose, no matter how short it's odds are or how well it's backed! You start with �500, and bet on a number of races, with real odds and rather bizaree titles, such as "The Queen Mother Derby Stakes". Beat up the tax man! Yes indeed its the chance you've waited for. Hit the cartton tax man with a bat, kick him, or even just use your fists before he hits the deck. Helicopter Pilot control a helicopter through a rather bare looking background and guide it through various obstacles with your mouse. A mindless but addictive piece of gaming! Kick Ups Keep the bouncy footballl in the air by clicking on it. Not as simple as you may think. Blast Billiards Can't be bothered going to the nearest snooker hall? Why not have a game of online Billiards. Except that the balls are actaully bombs, and you need to pot them all before they blow up. Interesting. Stop Cockroach Chris Whoever made this game obviously hasn't taken to Chris Evans, as they've made him into dozens of cockroachs that you have to attempt to splat. Sadly, Billie Piper is nowhere to be seen. FA Cup Challenge 2003 A ludicrously difficult penalty shoot out game, in which you choose any one of the 2003 FA Cup entrants and attempt to to guide them to success by beating every opponent on penalties, a bit like Germany at the World Cup then. Be warned, the goalkeepers are unfeasibly good. |
