Entry Regulations
Short-Stays:
All those entering must have proof of financial support, if this is revoked they are liable for deportation.
All those entering must be free of any serious infectious diseases (such as TB, HIV/AIDS, Smallpox), terminal illnesses or health conditions which they are unable to fund the costs of treatment for themselves.
We reserve the right to deny entry to anyone.
Nationals of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, The United States and European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Iceland etc) are able to stay in the country for up to 12 months visa-free. After this period, continuation visas may be applied for up to a maximum of 3 years when citizenship should be applied for.
Nationals of all other countries will be required to apply for a visa to visit the country, with visas being limited to a maximum of 12 months non renewable for other countries. This applies in all cases except for selected individuals who have skills which are essential and unnavailable to us otherwise, for example a renowned heart surgeon etc.
Citizenship:
Anyone who is of British or kindred European descent may apply for citizenship through this department. Certain exceptions include those who have been involved in serious criminal activities, terrorism, anti-British political activities and members of religious cults including Islam. Citizenship is therefore not open to non-Europeans.
Citizenship, from the time of the original application being made, takes approximately 2 years, after which the applicant is then required to swear an oath of allegiance to Her Majesty the Queen. All applicants must be fluent in English and have proof of employment.
Nationals of the following countries are eligable for the Fast-Track programme, which reduces the time to gain citizenship to just 1 year: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Rhodesia, South Africa.
Any pending applicant prosecuted for a criminal offence during his period of waiting is liable to have his application terminated and be repatriated to his nation of origin.
Children of those staying on visas in the country do not gain British citizenship.
