Malpuas (makes 8)
Ingredients:
5Tbl. of Milk Powder.
2Tbl. of Plain Wheat Flour.
1 Beaten Egg.
20g. Melted Butter.
Sugar.

Method:
Put the Milk Powder and Flour into a large mixing bowl and combine.
Add the Melted Butter and mix well.
Add the Beaten Egg and mix into a dough.
Roll the dough into a sausage shape, then divide into 8 equal pieces.
Take each piece and form a ball, then roll into a small sausage shape, twice as long as it is wide.
Deep fry at a simmer in GHEE until they swell and turn a rich golden brown.
Put them on kitchen paper to cool.

Make a Sugar Syrup with 400 ml. boiling water, 200g. Caster Sugar and 3 Cardamom Pods.
Allow the Syrup to cool.
Put the Malpuas in a bowl and cover with the Syrup.
Refrigerate overnight or until they have absorbed most of the syrup, serve cold.
