Channa Dhal (MEDIUM) serves 4
Spices:
1tsp. Turmeric.
1tsp. Coriander powder.
1tsp. Garam Massala.
1tsp. Cumin seeds.
½tsp. Cumin powder.
¼tsp. Chilli powder.
25mm. Fresh Ginger Root (peeled and chopped).
Salt.

1 Medium Onion (chopped).
400g. Tin/Jar Chick-peas (rinsed and drained).
Fresh Coriander (for garnish).
3Tbl. Ghee (for frying).

Method:
Combine the Coriander, Cumin, Chilli, Turmeric and Garam Massala powders with approx. 2Tbl. water to make a paste.
Heat the Ghee in a saucepan and add the Cumin seeds, fry for 1 minute, add the Onion and Ginger, cook until Onion is golden.
Add the spice paste and stir fry for 2 minutes, then add the Chick-peas, salt and a splash of water, simmer for a few minutes.

Garnish with Coriander leaves, serve immediately with Chapattis.
