I am deathly afraid of my heart being injured in any way, even though I know my fear is highly irrational. I obsess about being stabbed in the heart, having my heart ripped or removed, having a heart attack, having my heart "explode", and even heart palpitations. I suffer from panic attacks (click here for symptoms) but the fear is always around my heart. I've had 3 EKGs so far and each one has come back fine. I don't have a heart murmur, but my ehart papilates a few times every day and it really scares me, to the point that I'm sometimes afraid to sleep.
