Catholic Worker House Day of Discipleship at Precious Blood Spiritual Center
The St. Martin de Porres Catholic Worker House invites friends and those in the community to join us in a day of reflection on Saturday, May 18th from 9:00am to 7pm at Precious Blood Spiritual Center in Colombia, PA (Lancaster County). We come together to refocus on our mission as a faith community and explore the topic "What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus Christ in today’s world?" The presenter for this reflective retreat will be Pamela Oatway, a licensed pastoral counselor with a decade of service to the poor in Lima, Peru. We will be focusing on opportunities for discipleship and service in the tradition of Catholic Worker founders Dorothy Day and Peter Maurin. St. Martin’s has been witnessing in Allison Hill, Harrisburg, to Jesus’ love for the poor for over half a decade. The cost of the retreat is $25, which includes both lunch and dinner for the day. Reservations should be made with Rob Marco at 230-8328 at the Catholic Worker: 1440 Market St., Harrisburg, PA 17103.
